The patent leather cut was inconsistent on the ogs some were higher than those pictured.. just look at the ones Jordan wore

Forget the ones Jordan wore, what did the retail versions look like? Lower PL I assume.
PSA: I don’t think nobody wants them low like the 09-15 retros. Just lower so the shoe didn’t look weird for the side profile. The legend blues being all white helps

Gotta separate PEs from retail. I’d love to see a pair that looks like the current PL cut we’ve had the past few years.
I don’t mind it higher in that mid-section but it never looked that way on OG retail pairs. If anything the variance on OG pairs was in the toebox area.

The patent leather cut is a bit more important that a tint . But my point is and it's facts , the og patent leather cut was not consistent. Period

Gotta love when ppl spread false info so. Here you go. They look almost identical. Like I said the patent leather cut was inconsistent on ogs. The patent leather cut is about identical on the remastered retro compared to THIS pair of ogs
Ppl be posting that eastBay pic and are like omg see the patent leather cut was not that high. Omg we need it lowered. There's plenty of og pairs that had a cut very similar to current retros .
Even Jordans patent leather cut varied on the pairs that he wore just like the retail pairs
I had a pair of playoffs in 96, seen it first hand..

There's plenty of ogs that look just like the video I posted and there's plenty of the remastered retros that look just like the ones in the video
Obviously nike remastered the 11 with an og that looked pretty similar as the one in the video I posted
The retros from the dmp up until they remastered them were trash. The patent leather cut was ***

All these announced upcoming releases ... I have to believe the SJs and Concords are going to be back within two or three years. It's already been 8 years since the SJs and 6 since the Concords. Was hoping Concords would come back slightly adjusted, including 23 on the heel, for the 30th anniversary in late 2025. If that's not happening, then maybe in 2026 since that will still be the 30th anniversary year of the '96 Bulls season.
I’d be interested to see what version of the Space Jams they decide to release next (blue vs concord, 45 vs 23, jumpman jam vs jordan, bluish vs icy sole, etc.)
Still glad to have my ‘16 SJs as I don’t think they’ll ever release in that same fashion (stitched 45s, concord accents, packaging). They’ve improved the build a lot more since those, gonna be nice to eventually see the updated version
