Meh, it was a plausible statement. The KD didn't become "cool" until they started the limited garbage. Nothing sold out, nothing was "fire". All opinion of course but the 4,5, and 6 weren't anything much better either.


Now this shoes has some potential

1 and 3 were trash

2's were awesome IMO

they had some decent colorways. too bad the sole had no grip on the court. I still rock my white/blue time to time at the gym.

Popular with the majority of people. Nobody lined up for any of those limited Kobe's or Lebrons. I bought BL Kobe's for 190 a week after release and thought I over paid.

During that time it was Jordan retros or bust with "sneaker heads". After those limited drops (SB's grinch, nerf) it showed that these shoes can also be an "investment", thus the boom.

The Kobe line growing popular happened with the IV. That's when the colorway explosion happened for all shoes.

Speaking of the KD2, I wish the USA colorway released over here. Why was that an Asia exclusive?

Has anybody checked out the number of stores carrying the KD VIIs "USA" on Champs Locater. They are limited, and if you live on the West Coast, you are SOL!!!! Only two Champs in Cali & one in Washington are releasing.
