:{ cmon Kendrick
I aint even mad at this track not being a traditional Kendrick rap song.

It's just not that good. Sound like an Outkast track without the dope rapping.

Also I'm not down with quirky voices. This is more of an album cut near the end of the album than 1st single.

I heard this song on the radio not knowing it was Kendrick and I rocked with it heavy

Glad it's a single, I wouldn't mind hearing more good vibes on the radio

It's funny how as soon as you start talking positive in hip hop people almost automatically aren't messing with it. I thought the song was dope, good message. Beat switch was hot, had a real Outkast feel. Thought that last verse was hot, I like it man.

I've been telling people this awhile, but I'm tired of bumping depressing negative music in the car. As much as I love Drake and Kanye, how many haters are you gonna go at on the record, or disloyal broads. How long are you gonna keep talking about how difficult life is and getting your heart broke and all that ****? I mean damn, it's real life but still, is that all you can talk about? Fix the problem and move on man. It's to the point I started messing with old school R&B and even a little EDM to get away from all the negativity. It gets grating after awhile.

So having said that, yeah, I kinda rock with anybody that's bringing a more uplifting message. Song is clean, uplifting without being really corny, not depressing, could ride to music like this all day. I'm a fan. Looking forward to the album.

Man I agree with you and I feel the same way; but sadly the hip-hop community/fans especially here on NT just wants the same stuff regurgitated all the time. Sometimes I feel that outside of a few artists (like a Kendrick) hip-hop and its fans just hasn't grown as I have grown and that's really disappointing.

Way to answer the question.

Maybe it's the vocal effect that I'm not feelin. The reason I slept on Kendrick at first was because of his voice. Then I heard hiipower.

I love what Kendrick had to say about making songs/albums:

“When I go into creating an album or any type of song, I usually cut off everything from the radio because you can easily be influenced from songs that you like, songs that you may not like,” Lamar says. "So I said, ‘I’m gonna go in the studio and I’m going to do what I feel organically without being confined to industry standards or what people assume that I should do,’ because at the end of the day, man, I’m an artist and I would hate to be stagnant.”

Why are people in here being cheerleaders for and against rappers. You can enjoy both you don't automatically pick one or the other.

It's funny how you Drake riders claim Control had no effect and Drake won but yall are the only ones still bringing it up.

It's funny how Kendrick riders claimed he was the King after that then he comes out with this hot garbage pop record and the excuses flow like tears

The world is a ghetto!!

This song is flames, through out. He killed it, radio bout to go nuts, and the content is beautiful.

I think the people not feeling it or saying it fell short to Kendrick's rap ability, must have not hear his lyrics. It's like dude who said not even one cuss word, but there were like 20 I the song.

Song is still thugged out in parts too so it's not really soft.. I dunno I like it

I like it but on a sidenote, I think Erykah Badu's yambs got another one
