Hmmmm...I thought the 8s looked very plain, but they grew on me over time. Now looking at the pair posted by @Janciii31, I definitely can see the potential in these. It just needs the right cw and the current distribution of solid cws isn't going to do it either.

Looks like it's mesh for standard and $200 again for some fly weave elites? Going the 9 direction and making the elite ones the primary basis while the base model drops in the background. Idk how I feel about it since I'm a HUGE Kobe fan, but I'll have to cap off the Christmas jersey I just bought with a elite 11 too. Hope they bring back the performance wow factor like the 8s. They really stopped pushing the envelope like they used to

Didnt know this thread existed... Did a quick scan of the thread and seems theres a bit of confusion on pricing hopefully this helps:

Kobe XI - $160 

Kobe XI Elite - $200 

They actually lowered the price by $20? I'm shocked.

I guess they realized that they can't get away with these price hikes and giving us sub par quality shoes.

$160 for the base model is fair (although I wish $140 was the base like the 8 ).

Yeah these look like the fakes that pop up every year before the shoe is officially unveiled. I think it's the same company that makes them year after year because the pics of their fakes are always taken from the same camera angles.

At that angle it looks like a Nike golf shoe. A Tiger Woods signature shoe with a Flyweave upper.

Last good kobe for me was the kobe 8 elite hero(zoom in the heel and Forefoot). It's hard for me to justify a 200-245 price tag with the only upgrade being flyknit. No carbon fiber mid foot shank, no forefoot zoom. I'll wait for a deep discount to try these out

Those new pics are probably fakes, but the carpe diem looking cw ain't bad.

If these are the $160-$170 price point 11s, I like them.  Last year...I only liked the 5ams and the Fundamentals at that price point..  These...I like the purple ones (leaked the other day), the 'Carpe-Diem' ones, and the "USAs' already.  I like those new Mentalities too.  I'll hold judgement to see if the 'real deal' is yet to be leaked.  Guess I'm in the minority, but if only 2/3 of the line has been leaked so far...I think the new line is pretty solid.  If these new ones pictured are the $200 price point 11s...then it's a disappointment.

Im still on board. An all black upper with that charcoal gum sole would be dope. I think a lot of opinions will change once we see a flyknit mid or hi.

They should've just put Nike Air on the back instead of the achilles marks and whatever that is on the right shoe. Instant success.
