I dont own any KDs and havent seen them in person but isnt only half of the shoe FK?Hope so. The elites were overpriced to begin with and the new kds prove that even more.

I know the box said 200 for some KDs even tho they sold for less than that lol.
That's because there's a big disparity between Lebron's Nike contract vs Durant's Nike contract. Durant's Nike contract is 10 years $300 million while Lebron signed the largest contract in Nike's history...his manager is hinting that it exceeds $1 billion. Nike has to get back what they paid him and if they price the Lebron's the same as Durant's signature line then it's not a sound return on investment.Footlocker sent an article saying that there is a discrepancy in the price relationship with the Lebron and Durant line. Basically saying Nike is asking for too much money and that they need to lower the prices because FTL is having a hard time moving these products. We were speculating that maybe the Kobe line will lower in price. Sounds like @NYC757
has the info that this wont be the case. I'm pretty sure Nike will be having Kobe elites.
Well they have started lowering prices on some shoes like the KD, LeBrons, Jordans.

Kinda hard to compare the two shoes on a price point alone not a equal comparison but see your point.I don't own any kds either but they are mostly flyknit and $50 cheaper than the kobes. Point being flyknit isn't "elite" anymore so they can't keep charging what they are. People aren't paying it now.

Not a stretch of a comparison IMO. KD 9s are also flyknit and even have a full length zoom set up and are a full 50 dollars less than the elite XI.

The elite title is more of a gimmick that Nike BBall uses with minimal upgrades. It just so happens the current elite is FK.
The KBVIII had an elite, charged more and wasnt FK.
Don't think it's getting a US release. With the exception of the Lebron last year, and the Jordan that was up on SNKRS for 5 sec this year, they don't usually release QUAI 54s in the US.Still no word on a Quai 54 US release date?
They are going to be dropping prices across the board, basketball shoes just aren't selling like they used too.
hmm, i was hoping for around $150ish...
According to this catalog thing, the 12 EP (whatever that is) was listed at 1,999.00 Chinese Yuan. That's $180 US. Don't know if that's changed or not since.
