You can still make the Sprites out of the Alternate graphic. It's still considered Sprites even though it doesn't have the CV pattern. Call it Alternate Sprite or Sprite Remix.

I agree but I think, and correct me if I'm wrong, that most criticism has been respectful. Not everyone will love a design but calling another mans shoes that he spent his money on trash is distasteful.
