I am now on a self-imposed ban. I was at the front of MSG, floored as other Knicks fans were disgusted by one of the STUPIDEST decisions in modern sports and marketing history. A man ruined his reputation and image in 60 minutes. A man who has "CHOSEN 1" tattoed on his back now must augment it with "CHOSEN 1/3rd". He could have become immortal. Now he will never be what he should have become. He mapped out a destiny only to turn his back when the going got tough. His brand and image will never be what it could have become. This is one of the most idiotic decisions in sports history. This man will never be considered one of the GOAT's. Wade will always be better than him. It burns me that a man with this much talent didn't understand the responsibility that comes with such gifts. You do not go to help. Again, I was in shock at the bar and still am at this reality.
See you guys in September.

uh naw bruh, Kobe has played stiffer competition though en route to these rings. That Celtics team were >>>>>>>> any Finals opponent that MJ played because lets face it, that first ring against the Lakers wasn't like beating a "Showtime" Laker team. Magic and Worthy in there prime would've had that championship. Then you have the trailblazers, sonics, suns, and the choking Jazz's teams of the 90's. MJ was the best....but Kobe Bryant is damn close to being the equalizer.

I read mostly every page on this thread, and have to say I agree with nearly all of you. Here are my points:
- Dan Gilbert's letter is

-This whole situation was handled poorly. LeBron should've just came out like 2 weeks ago and said he was leaving Cleveland, but wasn't sure where his new home would be. That would have made things a little smoother. I'm not buying this "I made up my mind this morning". That's some BS.
- How can I blame him though? Dude is a 25 year old man, grew up with nothing, and has a golden opportunity to build a dynasty with two of his best friends.
BUT............
- I believe that even if they win let's say 5 titles together, Bron will NEVER be compared to MJ, Kobe, etc. because of the fact he had to "Go to a team with 2 other superstars in order to win.".
-I remember a lot of Cavs fans when comparing LBJ to Kobe was that "Well...Kobe needed Shaq & Pau where as Bron is all by himself". That's NOT the case anymore.
- In conclusion...man SMH at LBJ. *#@! you man. Yes I'm mad. It's whatever though. I'll get over it soon enough. Life goes on.

1. How much respect did you lose for him?
2. Do y'all he's like changing into this thug? I fee like dude's demeanor at the interview, then when he was introduced was on some thug *%#%. The way he was talking, this thug grin, and the way he was swayin' makes me wonder if he really knows what he just did

3. You think he's "people" are turning him into this, and if he fails in MIA, do you think things may come out about him or his inner circle that can put him in trouble? I
4. What about his kids? You think they go down to MIA? I know his girls whole family lives up here. Not so sure what she thinks of the whole thing.
