OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

all the effort to get back after being down by 20 and then leading by 5 and then to just lose by double digits anyways…

i really dont know what the tea has to do to change their personality but damn, its good enough to win it all but there’s just something holding them back besides health, they just dont have that “always play hard” - “always grind” mentality

another bad loss.

Front Office needs to start making calls. This team isn’t good enough to win it all as currently constructed imo

The game last night was always going to be tough. Basically a one-day turnaround after a long, tough East coast trip against a Miami team that's been playing well lately. Nevertheless, still inexcusable to keep failing to close out close games the way we have over the last couple of weeks.

I tend to agree with rfx45 rfx45 that's its not a talent problem the team has, but something less tangible. Call it lack of chemistry or killer instinct or whatever, but the team just seems to be missing something in terms of attitude/heart. And it doesn't help the situation that one or two of our main guys always seems to be out at any given time.

Glad we have a couple days off now, but my expectations for Denver on Thursday are low.

Was saying this same thing on YouTube. Regardless of who's in and who's out on any given night. This team should be playing hard consistently.

They should defend well, turn the ball over less and move the ball effectively.

I've seen and heard statements from players like mook and Reggie that were like "we figured we were good enough on paper to just roll over everybody." I feel like that's the mentality that has this team stuck in second gear.

It's part of the reason why I would like to see both of them gone if it means bringing in a game changer.

Reggie's body language stinks... Not towards teammates, it's almost like he's sulking.

They're the biggest ball stoppers on the team. Like I said, when they catch the ball on the swing, their first 3 thoughts are, I'm gonna get this shot up. Their 4th thought is "should I pass it to the next open guy?"

No arguments from me on any of this. Just wish Ty saw what we do.

Mook also annoys me because he seems to have convinced himself that acting fake tough = playing hard. And that, along with making some 3s, is enough. And I think that’s why we don’t see him making a lot of winning 50/50 plays.

Both PG and Kawhi are listed as questionable for tonight. Non-COVID illness for Kawhi still.

I'm expecting PG to miss a minimum of two weeks though because that's just how it goes around here  :smh::frown:

and solution…

play super small ball against the most skilled big man

jokic out there trying to volleyball the ball to the basket

if they werent opening a new arena and need stars for it, id say go ahead and blow up the team, no one is safe

If Morris and Reggie are still on the team after the trade deadline, we are losing in the 1st round of the playoffs.
