OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

Idk, we're feasting on bad teams. 11-2 vs losing teams. 12-15 vs winning teams.

0-5 vs the top 2 seeds in the west, all blowouts. Every team ahead of us has a winning record vs winning teams. Great season, but please don't make any bad moves. Get a role player or a young guy.
The organization seems to be pretty committed to the two year window concept. All the deals we did in the offseason fit that timeline. I don’t see them doing anything drastic now based on the Kawhi-less group overachieving a bit so far this season.

like i said, if some luck swings the clips way, who knows

in the post, they really got to face of those top 1 teams and if they avoid them in the first round, someone gets hurt and they get eliminated...

most definitely a longshot, theres a reason its a +4000 but again, if they want to make a big move, they really couldnt even if they want anyways because theyre not going to move harden or kawhi or powell or zu

but if they can build a little with their concept with second rounders, i think thatll be fine

Whoever we go after, I'd assume it would be Mann and PJ (and draft capital). So I'm looking at guys that are making around 20 mil a year.

The list of players that may be available at that salary + how many years they have left after this season is:

Kuzma - 23 mil (2 yrs)
Brogdon - 22 mil (FA)
Vucevic - 20 mil (FA)
Lonzo - 21 mil (FA)
Duncan Robinson - 19.4 mil (1 yr)
Clarkson 14 mil (1 yr)

Out of those, I could see Duncan Robinson and Clarkson being real possibilities that could help the team and wouldn't cost us too much. Brogdon would be interesting too. He'd fit in with his high IQ and defensive effort.

Then you have the guys we're rumored to be looking at in Boucher and Sexton, which I think would also be great fits.

sexton as backup pg would be great if he can accept that role

also, dallas just beat okc because shai was randomly out... that injury bites okc or hou and theyve got a chance

i think bill simmons also made a good point about houston on why he thinks theyre not on the same level as okc and boston though, they are playing at a high level but its their ceiling unline okc who can still get chet back and shaid can go to another level if he wants to - while bostons just cruising

i think the cavs is a bigger threat though, theyve been beating teams and beating them big while limiting everyones minutes, their top4 is averaging 30min a game which is kind of insane
