OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

Gave him the BAE, about 2 Mil per year with a player option on the 2nd year. Really good value as a starting SF

fantastic deal.

i secretly loved Luc all the way back since his UCLA days, even though I'm a Trojans. First time i disclosed this. Don't judge me.

No one thought he was going to gsw

Espn had it as high as 90% that he was coming back to okc.

The idea of him going to gsw was a "farfetched" idea.

please shut up b.

non-stop with the delusional theories & opinions :rollin

hey, you win in some areas, lose in others. **** rim protection when the opposing team can;t guard you.

we'll see.
IMO teams that pound gsw on the inside and pound the offensive and defensive glass, along with physical perimeter defense (a la cleveland) and the ability to switch every PnR (LAC) will give this new version of gsw major issues.

clippers better be a top 2 seed out west. OKC and SA look like they are taking a step back. LAC pretty much has their same roster from last season. Too bad they didn't get to keep Jeff Green. I thought he would be a good fit on the Clippers.

Damn, cuh. Why so testy? :lol

I also didn't think he would to go GS but I thought t was more likely than himcoming to the Clippers. I had it OKC, Boston, GSW, Clippers.

As a basketball fan I cannot wait to see that GSW offense. As a Clipper fan, **** em.

I'm thinking that like 70% of their FGAs per game will be 3s. Going to be crazy.

As for our squad, I'm starting to get a concerned feeling that PP is not going to retire. Not that we could replace him with anyone all that great even if he does retire, but still. He needs to shut it down.

Addition by subtraction. Losing PP helps tremendously.

Get a backup big on the low and i'll be really happy with how we're looking going into next season.

It's clear the offensive upside for Johnson & Stone. As expected, key to minutes will be how they mature defensively, & that'll take time

"@RowanKavner: Dawson doing things again. He's come off the bench in Summer League but made a consistent impact"

Maybe most impressive thing a/b Johnson's game to me is how confidently he hits 15-20 footers for a dude who never attempted a 3 at college

^^^ I'm hoping to see Johnson, Wilcox and Dawson all get some legitimate burn. At least enough to provide a fair assessment of whether they can really help the team. But I'm not counting on it. Doc seems pretty damn set in his ways as far as playing young guys goes.

I've watched a couple summer league games and I like Brice's midrange jumper.

I still really like Dawson. Hope Doc gives the young guys some minutes.

Love Dawson. I want him to contribute good minutes this year. I'm a sucker for MSU and Tom Izzo players.

Good to hear about Brice. I think we reached a little for him, but i think we must have loved him that much to get him higher than expected

anybody that can give us good minutes at the 3 defensively and possibly stretch the floor offensively is gonna be a great look for us. hope one of those young guys can do one or both

^^^ Well, that sucks. Wonder if he'll be playing again by the time training camp starts?

C.J. Wilcox is expected to resume basketball activities post-surgery in four to six weeks, meaning he'll be fine well before training camp.

I may alone in thinking this, or thinking too far into this,

But Lebron James is galvanizing the NBA, and empowering the players to make their own decisions independent of anyone else. Nowhere is this more apparent than his banana boat buddies. I think Lebron had something to do with Melo going to NY, He obviously switched teams twice, D Wade leaving Miami, on some level KD's move to Oakland had something to do with Lebron, I mean these dudes are taking control of their own careers and doing things their way, not the owners or anyone else.

Which I am 100% in favor for.

But all this is a longwinded way of saying if things don't go right for LAC this season, Chris Paul definitely could be out. D Wade leaving Miami to me (which CP publicly supported) just shows you what the mindset is behind the banana boat buddies.

Every convo I've ever had with Chris has led me to believe that would absolutely leave if we did not win a title (or make a Finals at least). I'm expecting him to be gone by this time next year. Either via trade or free agency.

Winning a ring is everything now. If CP doesn't think the Clips give him the best chance to do that when he's a FA again, he's gone. Blake too. Just the way the world works now. We all need to be prepared.

I'm sure they will both opt out next season, with the cap going up again. I agree that CP3 will want to go someplace where he can win a title. Clippers need to make some moves or at least stay healthy enough to compete.

I agree. CP3 isn't tied to LA. He needs results.

I really don't feel great about him being here next year. Same with Blake, to be honest. All of the criticism he's received the past year or so, he just may feel like a change is needed.

Put on your seatbelt boys.......

We've been through darker times. I'm ready for a post Blake/CP3 era :lol
