OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

We're gonna do good again this season but... Idk about us takin out everyone in the west... OKC, GS, Houston?
Maaaaan, that's rough

Oh, and "Clipper" Darrell was as LAKERS media day today and said they might have better record than us.

Please, anyone who sees him at the games, tell him he's a joke and not a real Clippers fan. Or punch him.

Funny little story... back when i interned wih the Clippers, this kid decided to sue the team for not paying us and having us work more than x hours a week.

Today I got a settlement check in the mail for $1700  :pimp:

Haha what? I've heard bits and pieces about it before, as in that's why they started paying us and what not but that's crazzzyyyy dawg

The long story goes like this.

We used to get suite tickets and tickets in general to a lot of games (I’m sure you know get these too). The one thing they would always tell us was we weren’t allowed to sell them.

According a bunch of interns in different departments, this dummy got caught selling tickets outside of the arena :lol :{ Instead of just taking the L he told a couple other interns that he was gonna sue the team for breaking some internship law. We all thought he was an idiot and I especially didn’t pay it any mind.

A year or two later I got a letter in the mail from a law office saying they were filing a class action suit and would I be willing to testify or asnwer questions or something. I was trying to work for thon Clippers so I passed. Apparently unpaid interns are only allowed to work a certain amount of hours a week. It was something real low, like 15 hours. Anything more than that you have to pay the interns. We wer working 4pm-10pm on game days plus office hours if we signed up for them.

I literally didn’t hear anything of it until a bunch of old interns started hittin me up over the weekend talmbout they got $1700 check. Guess the Clippers figured it would be easier to wettle than potentially making this a bigger deal and dealing with tha bad PR.

I mt helped me finish paying off my credit a couple months earlier than I was planning tho :hat Gotta thank ol’ boy if I ever see him again :lol

Can't wait :pimp:

I can't even say that any of this is is farfetched. Going from 22/8/5 to 25/9/5 on essentially the same splits when Jamal JJ and Chris aren't on the team anymore seems like it would be expected more so than a surprise for me honestly.

The 77 games are obviously the question, but I was reading somewhere where they were talking about Blake's injuries and a lot of it just seems to be freak accidents, which should bold well in the future.

Since he got in the league:
14-15 a random infection on his elbow
15-16 first time since rookie year where he actually had a ''real injury" that caused him to miss 40+ games and crept back up on him in the playoffs
16-17 played in 66 games, and sat like 4 games or so due to rest, could have easily hit the 70 game mark last year. A random toe break in the playoffs.

When you look at it from this perspective, there is reason for optimism for his health. I just wanna see bro healthy

^^^ Yep. 100 percent. Gallo too.
And I might forgive Blake he doesn't make the ASG. Between fan voting and how stacked the West is with talented players, a few deserving guys are going to be all-star snubs.

Not entirely accurate 100% of the time, but the advanced metrics they use to come up with these projections are sound, and beat out CARMELO and 538 on consecutive years.

Regardless, the premise for the Clippers being so high DJ, along with how good the Houston players project. Essentially, the Clippers by advanced metrics are actually really really deep.

lawdog1 lawdog1 yall are going to grow to hate Gallo. Trust me on this

Imagine an unlikeable 14-17 Jamal Crawford. That level of disdain.....without the likebality factor

You may be right, but I want to give him a chance before I put him in the Crawford category. And if I'm going to give him a chance, he might as well be fully healthy.

So dope seeing Blake as the leader of this team. Can’t wait to see what our team identity looks like this season. CP3 is the goat but I he can wear on guys. Let’s see how Blake approaches it.

Blake is going to be a great leader. Besides on floor stuff, he can take everyone to some legit Hollywood parties and make sure dudes get some quality yambs. Good for team morale.

This is probably the most balanced, fair, and objective pieces i've read on LAC all summer. With videos to support Blake's ability as a playmaker, ways in which blake can expand as a Playmaker ala lebron or Draymond, and a bunch of other fun stuff too.
