OFFICIAL LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS 2024-2025 SEASON THREAD

I just need Blake to keep shooting the 3. Even if he misses it. He's looking great from the corners so far.

Thing with Blake is....if a few good looks don't fall...he hesitates or makes a bad decision. Hope he consistently shoots the 3 with confidence this year.

Oh, and Milo is a starter. Sorry Austin

Y’all see the Blake interview with Bowen? It was pretty mch about Blake now being the leader of the team. Bowen asked him about his leadership style and Blake said he’s not one to yell or scream at players. I’m probably looking way too much into that but I couldn’t help but think it was a reference to CP3’s style

I think that's pretty likely, even if on a more sub-conscious level. TBH, it doesn't seem like any of the guys left who played with CP3 are too broken up about him being gone. They seem energized by it, really. I'm not necessarily blaming CP3 for that, but I could see how he'd wear on people after a while.

Also, really trying not to get excited about the great preseason WeJo is having. No way he sustains it throughout the season. But there's no denying he's looked good so far.

Finally, we have the LA Lonzo's tonight. Ralph said last night he doesn't expect any of the starters to play at all. I honestly hope he's right.

I'm on board with it, he's so good that you can't keep him off the floor. Milos Mania is real and the effect he has on this team is real.

However, the team as a whole probably benefits more with Milos coming off the bench than starting I think. Austin brings shooting, defense, and size at that two spot, something that Milos can't replicate. A Backcourt of Milos and Pat puts a challenge on the defense. Then you factor in having Austin + Lou off the bench? I'd rather just have one of those guys being paired with Milos, so that you have some form of ball movement off the bench and in the starting lineup. The two best playmakers on the team are Blake and Milos and since Blake is starting, I'd prefer to have Milos off the bench for purely balance purposes.

Finally the preseason ends tonight. Don't think anyone is playing for us tonight :lol top stories of the preseason thus far:

- Blake. Everything we've expected and hoped that he'd be this season he's been so far this preseason. He's picked up right where he left off on 3's especially, going over 40% on 3's on almost 5 attempts per. Crucial that he continues to take these and minimizes the pick and pop midrange 2's. But he's been awesome

- Milos mania. He makes everyone better. Like Blake, everything we've hoped for out of Milos has come to fruition so far, i'm having a very hard time not saying some crazy hyperbole about him, but if he's really this good in the regular season the clips are a 50 win team (health provided). He's everything Lonzo Ball is supposed to be. (Right now)

- Wesley Johnson. This shooting is not sustainable by Wes Johnson (Duh) but in his first season with us, he was at 40%+ on corner 3's and was solid overall. (#EliteCornerShooter) If he can return to this, I like the look of Wejo spacing and being a passable defender against 2nd units. He was awful last year but it looks like Doc is giving him first crack at that back up wing position and thus far, he's making the most of it. This is the most confident wes has ever been with LAC.

Man I was so high on Juwan Evans predraft. I'm actually shocked that the Clips got their hands on him. Thought he slipped.

I actually ended up watching most of our game against the Lakers the other day and it ended up being pretty entertaining. Evans balled out. Brice looked better than he had in previous outings. And it was cool seeing our D league squad hang with majority Lakers rotation players.

Kind of bummed out opener isn't until Thursday, but I guess it's actually a good thing since we got a couple guys nursing injuries.

this team seems to be having much more fun than it has in previous years. i think that this could be a great case of addition by subtraction. if blake can stay healthy and return to 3rd place MVP form or better and DJ can make strides and some contribution on offense, we could do much better than 46 wins...maybe mid 50s

i really like the beverly/rivers/teodosic/lou williams combo.

health will be the biggest hurdle for this team

^^^ Yeah, CP's for sure said some things he didn't need to about his departure from LAC.

CP is a top 3 favorite player of all time...but I didn't vibe with those comments that came out yesterday.

Whatever problems that you may have had with the franchise's culture...YOU played the biggest part in forming that culture. YOU were the one that made people walk on eggshells around you. From Denise, Tracy in community relations all the way up to the players and coaches and everyone in between, YOU brought that grading and meticulous attitude to the team that sucked the fun out of organzation. YOU created the culture that you're currently despising.

Not to mention...YOU choked against OKC. YOU were on the floor with everyone else when we couldn't score in G6 against Houston.

I hate when ****** do that man. Just go to Houston and do your ****, but don't leave and cite the problems within the organization, problems that you helped create. Towards the end there, the franchise was bending over backwards to make sure he was happy enough so that he'd resign.

If healthy, there's for sure a 50 win team in this roster, I totally believe that. I think there's a real benefit to playing through BG more, and surrounding him with shooting w/ Pat, Austin, and Gallo. And BG was 8/17 in the preseason, was almost 40% on 3's since February of last season, so you let blake go and he's at 25/9/5 on 50/36/77 easy this season and they should be a really good defensive team as well. And they're deep.

It's all on Blake though. If he takes that leap and becomes that top 5 player that we know he can be, I'm very optimistic regarding their chances.

I have us at 46-36 now, but health can change that win total either way

I watched one of those Jay z CP3 videos and it wasn’t as bad as I expected. Still looking like a ***** for mentioning the organization in a negative light at all tho. I’m gonna stall him out this last time but if he does it again he’s running my fade on MLK day.

^^^ I have my issues with Glenn too, of course, but all those quotes up there look accurate to me - at least from the outside looking in.

Yeah, between CP`s recent comments, Pringles making a crack at the CP presser about "at least the Rockets can win a Game 7 in LA" and me just not being much of a Harden fan, F the Rockets.

- No Injuries
- Get the damn win (This is a must win game tbh)
- How are we looking defensively with Pat and Austin out front and DJ behind them
- BG, BG and more BG
- Milos Mania

Sloppy start, which I expected. Nice run by BG at the end of the quarter to get us a lead.

He needs a break now.
