Complete guess, but maybe the time difference (7 hours ahead vs Vegas) might have something to do with it. I don't think you're going to get many people that are going to get up/stay up at like 4-5am for the main event in England and be ok with paying £50-£60+ to watch it aswell.

Yeah that's pretty standard sparring partner stuff. If they say anything less, they get sent home or probably lose some of that money
Every boxer's most recent fight somehow has the "best training camp of his career" - until they get demolished and everyone comes out and says what a disaster it was.
