**Official Meek Mill Thread****Dreamchasers IV Out Now**

Another thing that I believe was against Meek was the actual Drake haters. While they knew Drake they probably didn't really know about Meek, the initial jab got them feeling themselves and they thought, finally. However, Drake put back to back tracks and while they waited they started liking Drake's flow and joined in the social backlash that Meek was receiving for not putting a track.

So when these haters waited some more and the track didn't have all these catchy disses and was mediocre at best, they found a new love for Drake and bomb, they now turned on Meek.

You really think all these Meeks haters were there before?

Yo that wanna know diss is aite, after all is settled down it ain't bad. Back2back is an anthem though..never saw a hit record of a diss, he has the format down so good.

But to really go on topic, does no one care that he doesn't write? I mean yo that's a huge thing...that milli vanilli line is deep, look what happen to them and how authentic fans were in terms of their expectations from the artists.

It obviously not the same thing, but pretty close concept

MV didn't even perform their own music. Drake not writing would be a huge deal, but It seems more like Drake got help on some songs.

exactly these rap fans aint loyal , they might not have turned into drake fans, but they definitely not on the meek train anymore

never seen the hype with meeks street battles, garbage

I don't think it's even hype..if you ask me bar for bar he lost a lot of them too..where he won tho was public perception..because he was able to exposed a lot of them dudes who was also consider street rapper..So when the audience is from the streets and the rappers are consider street rappers..and you expose your opponent to be a fake..your going to win..

He wasn't able to do this to drake..because the audience doesn't care if drake out here doing quote on quote " real **** or not" as long he makes good songs.

Still all poltics,to often the fan base that cheers the loudest determines the outcome, regardless who was the rawest.

In this case 'Drizzled on' won because he actually filled the tracks with rhyme. Where meek might of came with truths, but he put to many fillers in , plus his lines were simple simon. Not saying Drizzled lines were good, but they was better than meeks lines, plus dizzles gave more material to help him claim this victory.

you can hear it on this track, he don't care cause he's telling the truth and no one can tell him ****.

Ain't no body care who wrote Know yourself, they care is out. You think they like naw, Drake didn't write this? **** Im not playing this ****. They probably heard Wanna know and right after Know yourself ....

It would of have been different if Drake had OK career, but Drake been on to of the Charts for years. People like "his" music or should I say his Flow and presentation. There a reason why QM isn't rapping ... Ghostwriter wrote because allot of them don't have the potential to be stats and flows are atrocious.

Honestly, most of the people that were on Meek's side werent Meek fans in the first place.  They just saw someone challenging Drake and latched on in hopes that he would take Drake out.  Meek turned out not to be that guy

.  Just how I root for anyone playing against the Eagles because I'm a Cowboys fan and I hate that disgrace of a team lol.  Same concept.

Nobody cared because it wasnt that serious.  Its not like Drake never wrote a bar in his career.  A hook and half of a verse is nothing, especially on songs that arent his "lyrical" songs in the first place.

Why do you think nobody else in the industry agreed with or got behind Meek?  Its not because of Drake's influence, but because this happens all the time.  Its apart of the game and has been since the beginning.  When you have lyrical cats from Slaughterhouse like Royce and Crooked saying "Yea i have taken reference tracks, I have bought hooks, i've had people give me the flow and cadence for a song/verse", you should know its nothing new or out of the ordinary.  Even Jay and Big have done songs based off reference tracks.  BIG is one of the greatest and have had whole verses written for him.  Just because alot of people didnt know, doesnt mean its anything new.

Not one rapper interviewed about the situation said anything other than "So?" or "I'm not surprised" lol.

Thinking that all rappers do is write a verse on a pad and rap it over a beat is like a kid believing in Santa Claus lol.  Nice fantasy to think about, but in reality theres a whole lot more that goes into getting that toy under a kids tree.

All of these artists (including Drake)  that write bars, verses, hooks, and songs for other artists.....SOMEBODY is buying em

.  Don't fool yourselves lol.

If he would have exposed Drake for NEVER writing in his career, this would've been big.  But for those 4 songs....Nah bruh.  Nobody cares lol.  10 bands and Know Yourself are throwaways compared to Drakes best material.

Meek just didnt have the material or angle to beat Drake.  What does Meek rap about? Cant rap about street stuff/violence/being soft to a dude that admits he's not street.  Nobody is expecting Drake to have a fight or shootout with Meek lol.  Cant rap about money and material things to a cat worth 10x you.  Cant say his music is better than Drakes.  Meek's disses just didn't/couldn't do much damage.  While Drake's angle, the Nicki situation and Him being a Twitter thug might not have been the most cutthroat disses of all time, but they cut Meek really deep.  Personal digs that cause the opponent to look at himself differently , not just threats/insults.  Meek hasnt been on Twitter since and he tweets all day everyday lol.

If the Q. Miller situation and getting splashed with pee(which he didn't even put into a bar)  was his only ammo, Meek never had a chance to win this. That street/battle rapper angle of throwing clever disses and threats just wont work in this type of situation, with this type of opponent.

True to a degree, Its that popularity contest I was speaking on.
I think alot of people forget where hip hop comes from, The Streets.
Undoubtedly Drake was bound to be held in high regard being hes much more notable.
Still Meek slayed himself, the opportunity to win was there, he squandered it.

Like stated above, meek to the majority was losing no matter how bad he coulda, shoulda, woulda killed Drake. Only if hed of actually thought this out, instead of jaunting down some cat in the hat garbo , hed of won. At the very least hed of won in the eyes of the pioneers, natives, connoiseurs, and/or last but not least ,,,The Streets.

Pac was a follower that took many L's
it's cool man ...

If you think Rick Ross and PAC deserve to be mentioned on the same breath so beat it.

I personally sided with Biggie so it doesn't make a difference, but I can acknowledge PAC has some classics and really spoke to the people.
