**Official Meek Mill Thread****Dreamchasers IV Out Now**

Commercially maybe...

Good music is still being made if you know where to get it from and aren't relying on the machine to tell you who to listen to.
THIS ^

you just have to explore

no better feeling then discovering a new artist that has your ears wide open

I play Meek's song all the time, I rarely play Drake's. I think Drake's had better disses but the more I listened to it, it's a typical radio Drake song. I know more broads that like Back to Back than men. Even the punchlines are aimed at the female audience to singalong.

As for Meek, I love the beat and I love the flow. I think the first verse is great. The mumbling is stupid but when you make out what he's saying, I love it. First verse is definitely good. The biggest problem with the song is the hype he created, he doesn't really say **** in the second verse and the mumbling. To be fair though, Drake isn't saying **** on his song either. The end of the first verse when he starts off with your girl's tour is great. Most of the second verse, he's not saying **** either. Just like Meek. That's why this beef frustrates me. Drake's disses were not great but I liked them. Social media took it and made better disses and meme's than Drake.

Now when that sh*t went down with Chris, you wrote a check
In New Orleans wore my chain to get respect (you a fraud)

So what that tell me? You a pu**y and a fan
Say the wrong sh*t you know the shooters at your neck
I just wanna know, if you ain’t write that running through the six sh*t
Tell us who the f**k was Quentin running through the six with?
Running through the six with my woes
Counting money you know how it goes
All the real live forever baby
And the fake get exposed
Ni***s writing for you cause you know you never did shi*t
When I threw that hook out, I was tryin' to catch a big fish
We the type of ni***s to tie your mother up
F**k your sister in the a** and hit your brother up, p***y
You really sweet, I call you buttercup
You fu***ng dork you changed the style because you studied us
Coming with the same flow
Switching up your lingo
We just want a refund, this ain’t what we paid for
Every time that we come, we get what we came for
Spitting another n****s sh*t, but you claim you king though?
Bars were relatively good but the delivery was not. He should've cut the beat when he said the Puff line. Let that shot really sink in.

Should've slowed the flow down just a little & spoke more clearly. He was mumbling through most of it.

His delivery on Repo was right where he needed to be. Aggressive & clear.

the fact that there are levels to Back to Back makes it a lot better than what some of y'all give it credit for .....
  • can be played in bars, clubs, during the timeout of a basketball game, retail stores, on the radio, television commercials, etc
  • can be recited by everyone from old white people to little kids that can barely talk
  • has punch lines that the DJ can mute the song and have the crowd chant it
  • stayed in the lane of the artist and didn't take him out of his character
  • had truthful insults
that's quite impressive IMO

+made the opponent resort to Wedgie threats :lol
+made specifically to make fun of the opponent for not replying, causing the opponent to rush and release trash

Read this joint without the beat and flow. Every bar had relevance to Meek, the track, or the real life situation. Full of double and triple entendres. You can't tell me these tracks are even in the same stratosphere.

Back to back for the ****** that didn't get the message
Back to back like I'm on the cover of Lethal Weapon
Back to back like I'm Jordan '96, '97
Whoa, very important and very pretentious
When I look back I might be mad that I gave this attention
Yeah, but it's weighin' heavy on my conscience
Yeah, and ****, you left The Boy no options
I wanna see my ****** go insane
You gon' make me step out of my ******' frame
You gon' make me buy bottles for Charlamagne
You gon' make me go out of my ******' way
I waited four days, *****, where y'all at?
I drove here in the Wraith playin' AR-AB
I'm not sure what it was that really made y'all mad
But I guess this is what I gotta do to make y'all rap
I mean woah, can't fool the city, man, they know what's up
Second floor at Tootsies, gettin' shoulder rubs
This for y'all to think that I don't write enough
They just mad cause I got the midas touch
You love her, then you gotta give the world to her
Is that a world tour or your girl's tour?
I know that you gotta be a thug for her
This ain't what she meant when she told you to open up more

If you don't get the references, look them up lol.
But I guess since he speaking on real life instead of threatening to slap Meek's mom its not good :lol

Drake got Meek right there.

And Im not even a Drake fan.

:rollin :rollin

But on a serious tip, he ain't let me down. Meek getting handled was no suprise. Back in the day I've seen plenty of dudes from my hood get handled by a square when they thought they had an easy target lol. Dudes with the same personality as Meek.

Hood dudes tend to overestimate themselves as if your location somehow determines if you about that action lol. Being from the hood don't give you superpowers :lol

PREACH...

+1...Drake got Meek so "Charged up" he forgot the flow and overdid it with the snippets, samples...wanna know isn't as bad as folks make it out to be but the delivery and the production kill it. Drake still had the better track, but if wanna know was more focused and came SOONER Meek wouldn't be resorting too threating to give grown men wedgies now.

If Wanna Know came sooner Back To Back wouldn't even exist

Remember what Royce did to Mr. Fab? Ate that boy food with who got bodied.

"I took a break from Views, now it's back to that"

Honestly need View from the 6ix and SWISH to come out already.

his cass diss sounded like a filler track and dudes claimed he won just because hes "relevant"

He actually went harder at Cassidy than Drake, but you're right about the perception of Meek winning due to "relevance". The simple fact is that Meek is 0-2 versus both him and Drake. Cassidy obliterated him, and Meek underestimated Drake and had no plan at all, and winded up taking a beating here as well. The amount of hurt Mewk has displayed in this current beef is hilarious. He stopped tweeting, posted pics of himself counting money (the ultimate crutch when you know you've lost), and just hapless at shows. A wedgie??? Really :lol?? Meek has to go underground and build his two back up and become conscious, or start making folk music.

stop it

It's the truth. Back to Back was written to bait Meek into responding after he didn't respond to Charged up. Not saying anything negative about the actual song, just saying the specific song was inspired by and exists because of that specific circumstance. Also one of the meanings of the song's name.

nah back to back was just the perfect title for a second diss

if meek dropped a diss before charged up their would be no back to back because drake wouldnt come with that soft diss to respond

Did you listen to the song?

"Its been 4 days, where y'all at?"(B2B dropped 4 days after Charged Up)

"I guess this is what I gotta do to make y'all rap"(You didn't respond so I'm going to force your hand with this)

Pay attention man lol. Meek didn't drop his response to Charged Up in Toronto, so he did two disses "Back-to-Back". I think you might be the only one who didnt get this bruh lol

Just looked in my closet and I got push in my top 5 right now and never owned fusion Jordan's. Its true its damn true.

even if meek responded he couldve still made the song back to back, a couple of lines is easy to switch

but if meek swung first drake wouldve loss if he responded with charged up and then back to back

everyone wouldve said "he needed two disses in a row to try to beat meek"

meek would still be alive if he dropped a diss first

The twitter fingers line and a couple others were cool. But like son just said hit em with the pre nuppp, type of **** u shake ya *** to and chant like a Missy song [emoji]128514[/emoji]. **** could've easily been a club song man. But the twitter line burned his soul obviously since he ain't tweeting [emoji]128514[/emoji].
