**Official Meek Mill Thread****Dreamchasers IV Out Now**

There's a huge in between being a dope emcee and being a wack one

Ja Rule or Meek shouldn't be mentioned with Master P.

For real, but currently I'd take those shelved Short Circuit and D.I.G albums over theirs anyday

Ja first album was the **** dudes either sleeping or acting like they didn't like him.

His first album was dope. Bought that and DL'd the Murder Inc compilation in 2002. Other than that, didn't care for him. Doesn't take away from the fact that he was a big artist and sold records. Not gonna say he was flat out wack, but I just didn't really feel him like that

Ya'll really overrate Drake's rapping ability. :lol

Drake has no crown

You can't give him a crown, if you denounce what Nelly or Ja did. Because that's what Drake is doing, selling records.

Overrate it terribly :lol

Ja got MAD love and respect with that first album. Ja didn't go soft and pop until Rule 3:36. He was still getting love then. After those albums, he went too radio and became a product for the radio and women.

Nelly was getting plenty of love and respect with Country Grammar and Nellyville. Ja got more love from the hip hop crowd with his first album but both were respected. I hate when I see people act like they weren't fans and they were always viewed as corny gimmick rappers.

Happy as hell to see a D.I.G. mention in here.

I'm not giving him a crown as dopest rapper (even though I do think he's talented as a rapper) crown as biggest name in rap right now..

..and I was rocking with Ja and Nelly when they were hot :lol

U right my bad he ain't trash but if he dropped a album tomorrow a lot of people wouldn't hear it.

Drake couldn't rap his way out of wet paper bag. Dipset would out rap him, every member. G-Unit, yea even Yayo. Every member if the ROC. Son is the epitome of subpar average mediocre.

Ja rapped with Hov and held his own. He'd rap circles around Drake.

Drake is probaby only better than that Watch Me Whip kid.

:rollin

Most people that are talking about Ja and Nelly being legit good artist prob listen to Future and Meek currently.
Different strokes I guess, they just happen to be fans of terrible music, in which I understand. The parallel is
music back then was actually better than current trash we have ( mainstream music). I'd easily take Nelly or Ja
over Fetty and Future no question.

Shut up. Hip hop elitist annoy me lol.

Future is DOPE. Drake is cool. He's good at what he does, but overrated.

Early nelly was a good ARTIST. Country Grammar was a good album.

Ja was a Hit-Maker. He did what he did, and did it well. You just the type of ***** to hate on anything mainstream if it doesn't fit your view. Never compare Fetty Wap to future.

I wasn't a Ja fan, but I bought his first album. I liked Holla Holla, and his appearance on "Can I Get A"

After listening to that album I was done with Ja Rule, but I wouldn't say he was wack. I never liked his projects. Sort of like Mase.

Ja rule and Nelly was both cool for what they brought to the table..no they weren't Jay..Em..or Nas..But they did make good songs...

What did Ja rule in was the machine behind 50..The Dr. Dre and Em co-sign was big..

Plus despite being horrible lyrically..Eagle and Hot in here..came out right around the time I was in the club scene heavy..so I could never hate nelly..

Murda >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Meek

And what's doin Meek in is the Drake machine, how is this so hard to understand?

Meek lost on all sides, I don't see the ground to stand on his defense.

Son is overrated point blank period. It reminds me of when dudes were all [emoji]128565[/emoji] at c3 and post c3 Wayne like bruh stop it, he's spitting average *** bars.

#allfacts I can't wait until Drake's run is over and I can see how people talk when looking back at it.

50 used to be greatest thing since slice bread. He was in mad people's top 5. I even remember a thread on here "If 50 dies will he be the GOAT" Rap sheep just like to get caught up in the hype. It's sad really. We all have to suffer countless trash songs and features cause cats see through the fog. :{ :{

Before I make assumptions, are you all saying Drake can't rap or he's not as talented as people say?

That

Couldn't agree more with that

Good comparison. I had no interest in Mase once I heard his second album, which is a shame, cause his 1st album was so good. Nothing else came close, though he did have a nice verse or two years later.

I'm not saying that drake can't rap, but he's pretty much average or slightly above it. Rap has shifted away from lyrics and more so to beats/hooks/harmonizing etc so people get **** twisted and say he could rumble with the heavyweights of the 90s. He has respectable lyrics meaning he can hold his own but he's not this lyrical heavyweight his fans try to make him out to be.

Drake is one of the BEST hip-hop artist EVER.

If he wanted to, I'm sure he could get the proper staff and be ONE of the best rappers as well.

He (and his help) have made some AMAZING music, how Ns really gonna deny that?

Easy, just listen to the music. That word hip hop should be used very loosely tho. Probably the greatest pop-rapper ever tho. Straight knocked Nelly down.

It's definitely hip-hop.
It may not ALWAYS be rap.
But Drake makes hip-hop music.

His fans are worse than Eminem's, but that's not his fault.
