**Official Meek Mill Thread****Dreamchasers IV Out Now**

If they don't mean **** then how exactly are we organizing the tiers? They aren't the end all be all but you can't say they don't mean ****. If you're considerably losing steam with every release that says something.
we dem boyz was one of the biggest songs last year and he headlined a tour just off that

album sales dont mean much

outside of the social media bubble people could care less, this is boosting meeks popularity more than anything

You're acting like that's a small "bubble" tho.

****** kill me with this "internet" **** as if it's still 2004. We live in a digital era. Social media is a major part of being an artist right now.

What are these other "bubbles" besides social media that we can use to gauge these types of things?

The affiliation with nicki helped meek out the same way the affiliation with Wayne helped drake

Because how you gone say somebody is the most popular artist and you just heard of them or their music last week? He's 1b to Drake now? Really?

You still reachin bro?

I didn't start listening to Future last week and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Drake and Future are the hottest out right now.

People talkin about Meek in regard to everything BUT music.

Wake up bro, and stop tryin to be a comedian.

social media is a big part of being an artist but the biggest rap artist are hardly on social media

he still sold more out the gate then future. So if people are talking about him for things besides music...clearly it just helped the actual distribution of his music...no?

Just being on some 100 **** and I'm probably one of the biggest future fans here he isn't 1b. He's not bigger than Cole or Kendrick for most of these fans he's the flavor of the month and they won't be around next year.

true, most were probably on the thug bandwagon and 2chainz before that

I wish Aubrey would've responded to push. But the fans let him ignore it and act like it didn't happen. Just don't be his friend anymore Drake. Son picks his battles wisely cuz he wasted no time coming back at meek.
I mean, what would Drake gain for goin in with Push?

He only responding to Meek, cuz Meek is actually a somebody.

Ain't nobody checkin for Pusha.

Speaking of Pusha, his brother already exposed them, but I don't see yall hating on him.

Yall focus to much on record sales.

It's 2015....that **** dont mean nothing no more.

I'm basing my opinion off what I see, and from what I see, Future is the hottest out right now.

Drake is right there with him.

And it's about the music.

The only reason people are even still talkin about Meek is because he turned into a sucka via social media.

Has little to do with his music.

We can argue about this shut all day.

The fact is...meek mill is a very popular artist in today's rap game. Out of the millions of ****** rapping in the world...meek has made it to a level where most would kill to be at. That isn't easy to do. His popularity is also rising and this "beef" can only elevate him higher.

I see this as him gunning for the "top spot" which is a strategy we've seen before in rap. My original point...I wouldn't be surprised if this is beef isn't 100% organic. The attention can't really hurt either artist and we all know all publicity is good publicity in today's current pop culture. They've seized everyone's attention with this.

Pretty sure Drake making hits is what helped Drake.

The Wayne cosign happened after he was already on the cusp of blowing up, it definitely helped but I don't think the two situations are comparable.

Meek still doesn't really have any big records besides the intro from his first album. I was out this weekend and they played RICO but only Drake verse which is hilarious when you think about it.

He definitely did numbers with his album but it was more the combination of him getting locked up and the relationship with Nicki that propelled it more than the actual music.

Whenever I'm out I don't really hear Meeks album except for RICO. I like the album still but the way he's gone about things since he dropped is very corny, he sold 200k the first week but who's even talking about his album anymore? It's this ****.

Future isn't more popular than Kendrick/Cole is what people are saying. Or kanye for that matter. I listen to future more than any of those guys but they have bigger fan bases than future. Most dudes riding with future was on the 2 chains wagon a year ago and will be on a different one after this hype dies down.

And maybe because its hip hop? U can ignore the local dudes and new dudes but push is a pretty well known artist and others respect his ability. Hell even Aubrey is a fan so why wouldn't he respond?

I'm seriously starting to think this whole **** is staged.

these are arguably two of the top 3 most popular artists in rap (Kanye being the other) right now. It makes a lot of sense for them to get at it. Especially when we haven't seen two heavyweights go at it in a long time.

Look at how much attention this is generating. Neither artist can really lose from this.
I don't know about Meek being more popular than Kendrick or Cole.

But this is definitely benefiting both artists. Meek benefiting from being the first artist worthy of a response from Drake (so now perception is going to be that he's on his level) and Drake benefiting because this finally gives him a chance to flex his lyrical muscle.

Stranger things have happened than for these ****** to be on IG dapped up, skinning and grinning in a few weeks. But they not making no direct money from it and they don't got no albums coming out no time soon so who knows. But this is definitely the hottest either of them have been.

So why didn't he respond to Kendrick...............?

Dudes never stop with the excuses for this dude,

he ducked Push because he's not a "somebody" :rollin

it's because he didn't want that work.

Jay can still sell more records than all those dudes in 2015

any rapper on a mainstream level with a new album out should be the hottest at the moment

meek hasnt had a album out in 3 years after being rookie of the year so im sure most of those album sales are from his fans anxious to hear new music and barbz
