Chuy should have been there. The rules of the national team aren't applied to everyone in the same way. Yes Chuy hit someone, no jail time or anything worse came of it. So they should have called him up. Cuauhtemoc out drinking and smoking days before the Gambia match.. and he ends up playingOriginally Posted by Fuser86

Jesus Corona should be there over Conejo and to think at the prospect of Conejo starting the opener is just obsurd to me.
That goal by Glen Johnson was nice but get an avg size keeper and it's not going in.
I was shocked this morning when I heard the news about Jonathan though. NO way in hell did I think Bofo would make this squad. Especially after the treatment he got when the seleccion se despidio del Azteca. Bofo isn't in form, those two goals against Gambia, I would have scored 4.

Your guess is as good as ours at this point. Chances are we won't know until 6/11.

Honestly, even now I dont know what formation he will use. It can be any of the following 4: 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 4-1-3-2, 4-1-2-3.Originally Posted by PersiaFly

The ones I bolded out are not the way we'll play for sure. We'll either use a 4-3-3 which like I said is more like a 4-3-2-1 leaving one striker up top, or a 3-4-3(3-4-2-1). What I have noticed is that when we are on offense we play a 3-4-2-1, Rafa moves up and plays in the middle. When not in possession of the ball, Rafa drops and we switch over to a 4-3-2-1.Originally Posted by Aztec

thats exacly why jona left, if marquez was playing defense like he normally does, then Torres Nilo or Magallon would have left, anyways since hes playing marquez in the middle with juarez AND torrado, guardado is not startingOriginally Posted by NikeTalker23

Osorio------Maza------Marquez------Salcido
Juarez------------Torrado------------Guardado

That's my prediction. Aguirre likes to play a 4-3-3 although it's more like a 4-3-2-1. One thing im not 100% sure of where he'll play Marquez. I think the whole reason why Jonathan didn't make the squad is because he liked Marquez in the middle along with Juarez. If he plays with Marquez in the middle I don't know how he's going to play since he's not going to play Juarez/Marquez with Torrado AND Guardado.
I don see Maza playing RB. Dude has developed real well as a CB. He has the height and from what I have seen real good timing on his slides at the ball. So for me:Originally Posted by ballin 2k3

With juarez being replaced with israel castro if they want to slow down the pace a bit. That is where Zinha should have been though. In my view he has better ball control, good depth passing can defend well too.

Maza would never be put at RB. As far as Aguilar goes, he's not going to start. After more thinking this is my final prediction for our starting 11 in the WC.

We are going to play 3-4-2-1 in order to play marquez AND guardado at the same time.
World Cup 2010: I Will Not Play My Mexico Stars Against Italy In Friendly - Javier Aguirre

Aguirre will play a weak team against Italians...
Mexico coach Javier Aguirre is not prepared to gamble with the state of his stars and will play a weakened team against Italy in tonight's friendly clash in Brussels.
Thetwo sides go head to head in a pre-World Cup warm-up match, and Aguirreis keen to keep his first XI fresh for the finals when they kick offnext week.
"I will not play my luxury XI players when we clash with Italy," the coach told Mexican press, as reported by La Repubblica.
Aguirre is trying to keep his team to play in South Africa secret as he throws everyone off the scent.
"Maybe my goalkeeper will be first choice in South Africa, but even that is not sure," he concluded.
