Maybe it is too much money, I'll give you that, but since Werth signed for way more than what he's worth, you had to expect something like this, and even if they are overpaying for Crawford, I (being the huge Sox fan I am) don't mind. In terms of making plays, whether they be offense or defense, with his legs, he is the best right now in the Bigs. Jose Reyes is not the same, Ellsbury I can't stand, Carlos Gomez is inconsistent, Gardner not proven, Ichiro's signed, etc. There's also Podsednik, but he hasn't been the same, either, since his leg injuries.
