now that fedors stock went down, hopefully he can get something going with the ufc and take on their best fighters.

here comes Dana White with his i told you so speech

honsetly... i was wondering wat would happened if Fedor were to lose, not just to Werdum, but to anyone other fighter. i wanna see how he improves himself and becomes better from a lose rather than just expecting to win all the time.

fedor is still the best and most complete mma fighter in history. however, in my opinion he hasnt been in his true A game since he's trained and fought mirko crocop.

Sherdog right now is making Yuku look good

lol at "shergod imploded"

Well it was bound to happen. It's hard to go undefeated in MMA. And for Fedor to acquire a near perfect record is still an amazing feat.

Nevertheless he is still a great fighter in my eyes. He tries to finish every fights unlike other fighters who just lay and pray for the decision. He tried to finish Werdum early with the ground and pound. A very risky move against a world-class BJJ practitioner which, unfortunately, cost him his first defeat.

All the greats fall, even Anderson has lost 4 times before. Strikeforce should capitalize by having Werdum face Overeem for the SF Title or a rematch with Fedor for the WAMMA title.

Eventually one day Fedor would lose but it was shocking to see it when it did come. From the start of 08 till now he's only had 4 fights. Fedor wasn't getting any younger and all that ring rust and wars he's had over the years was going to catch up to him. Congrats to Werdum for being the first to really defeat Fedor.

Damn... I missed the fight, but when I came onto NT I seen dudes post in General and immediately came here.

I can't believe he lost though... mind-blowing, but he is still considered top tier of MMA no matter what and nobody can take that away from him.

I thought he had it too when he knocked dude down the floor, but he didn't finish and I figured he should have been good because I've seen countless times dudes try to get him in and armbar and he punches them in the eyes/face with a fist, but with his thumb protruding out sort of eye poking/gouging the fighter in a way the ref couldn't notice though.

I did take a gamble though when went after him again on the ground after Werdum almost connected with the first armbar attempt, and while it did seem he could have been in a good position with side control after he went after him again on the ground Werdum just put his legs in the right position, but I figured a fighter of Fedor's experience and stature would know how to defend or at least look for what Werdum was trying to do.

I think Fedor tried to finish this fight quickly, but that cost him because if he would have fell back after escaping the first armbar and maybe stand up or think out what he was going to do he would have won.

I sort of feel that he should kind of be relieved though because doesn't have to worry about everyone wanting to see him lose now since he did. So that huge weight of being undefeated (I don't count the cut-lose) is now off his shoulders... would have liked to see him go out undefeated though.

Hurts to see Fedor lose but even in defeat hes one of the classiest fighters out there.

Hell go back to the woods in Russia and train even harder and make sure that doesnt happen to him again im sure.

Sad to see someone's mysticism fade away so quickly.....Werdum's gameplan exploited Fedor's fearlessness.

I guess a rematch would be somewhat necessary. It's not like Werdum won a Controversial decision. He submitted Fedor. But i guess if you're Fedor you want to avenge any loss. And he avenged his "loss" before. Over all I think Alistair will own any heavyweight there is in strikeforce.
