Leading off here, I fully expect Ortiz to get plunked. Unless both teams where warned before the game I dont see why they wouldnt do it now.

We always been soft. Torre never hit anyone either, it ain't just Girardi. It starts with just having a dominant pitcher with a mean edge who just doesn't give a #$@$, coming out the pen or in the rotation. Joba kind of had that when he first came up and all those times he threw at Youk was
but I can't remember any goons we had recently.
Even though CC was the last pitcher to hit someone in retaliation (O's a few weeks ago after Martin got hit the night before) he doesn't have that mean streak in him. IMO there's a general philosophy with the Yanks that they are the hunted, they don't do the hunting, and won't go back and forth with this bean ball stuff. Sometimes that ain't gonna cut it though, you just gotta stand up for your guys.
