If UTH drops 1 of their last 2 games:

Since LA beat GSW 3-1 this year, if they beat Houston on Wednesday & the Warriors lose at home to San Antonio & on the road in Portland AND Houston beats Phoenix, then LA is #7 and they'll most likely draw the Spurs.

Spurs will lay down for the warriors. The warriors have a terrible time with the spurs.

Definitely.

They are going to sweep OKC in the first round without Kobe.
Should of amnestied Kobe last year.
:rolleyes
he's being sarcastic, bro. he's sarcastically saying this stuff that Kobe's critics will say before they have a chance to say it. ;)

it's going to be awesome separating Lakers fans who just happen to like Kobe from Kobe fans who only wear Lakers' stuff because Kobe's a Laker.

that second group is going to be mad frustrated w/ any success my beloved purple and gold have now. sure, its only one game, but it's one of the best teams in the league, and I guarantee I know which Kobe fans are tight right now that we just won this one game.

them dudes, I guarantee, are hoping we miss the playoffs so they can quote me & hit me w/ "Where you at, ska?"

Its one game. Dont be as naive as the rest of the people who wait at the gate to bash kobe for any little thing.

If the lakers make it deep in the playoffs without him then you have reason kick that "told you so" brag

Ska why is it that you dont use the term "hater" and instead critic but when you describe a kobe fan hes a "stan"?

Things that make you go hmmm lol

Why would you say that though?
Just because of my post?

I was screaming at the top of my lungs in that 4th quarter, in excitement.
Im ecstatic we won. You really think i wanted us to lose? :rolleyes

Sheesh man, now i know why you say "both team played hard."
It goes both ways.
I should start using it because i cant say anything objective without it being twisted.

And it won't be because we are sans Kobe. it will be because he is a major, major component to our team, and BAM... he's gone. imagine being a truck driver with all kinds of luxuries in your diesel... GPS, super cold AC... then BAM, all of it is gone. it would take awhile for you to get used to being w/o those flashy things. you could get back to long road trips where you rough it, no problem, but right away? It would be rough, no doubt.

we're not going to make it deep in the playoffs, but I am fully confident that we will do some things next season that absolutely no one... No, very few people... Expect us to do. I'm not predicting a championship, but we will not be a bottom feeder. Bet that.

That is a very very important game. If HOU beats Phoenix & the warriors drop that one, then HOU is locked into the 6th seed & may rest Harden & others against the Lakers since they would have have nothing to play for.

Things that make you go hmmm lol
straight up, dog, you're terrible at debating. Do us both a favor and stop trying to back me into corners. Let CP reply to me, someone who actually knows what they're doing, then you can just quote him and applaude/cosign. Cool? Cool.

Now to reply to your post: why is it that you don't notice that I seldom use the words hater... OR stan?

second, why is it that you don't notice I don't call every Kobe fan a stan? First of all, like I said, I seldom use the word, but when I do, its not on dudes like CP or wcf; pretty much, Boyz is the only one that comes to mind that I've called a stan.

what is this weird Lakers 'Nation' squabble going on here

I was just giving sarcasm out of frustration because the timing of this "point" just seemed so out of place.

I dont get why one win has to prove to anyone whether or not were a better team without Kobe...why discuss that now?
One game after his injury?
Im happy we won, we played our hearts out tonight.
We outplayed them. I was ecstatic.
But then to immediately want to jump on NT and wanna tell people, whether subliminally or directly, that we're better without Kobe...
its just as bad as someone who would root for the Lakers to lose just to prove we need Kobe...which is what Ska said will be the outcome of this injury...those people showing up.
Both cases are bad.

Because all we should be feeling is joy and excitement over the win, and the fact that were 1 game away from the playoffs.
Instead, were discussing whether or not we're better without 24.

Were all on the same team, why do we have to do any of this "no comment, ill just be quiet and let people see im right" type things.
For both cases.

I was excited as hell we won. I cant wait till weds, i wanna beat the rockets and still make the playoffs.
But realistically, as much as ill be rooting and having faith, you really think we'll be a better team without Kobe against OKC?
I didnt know i was separating myself as a Kobe fan...non-laker fan...by being realistic and honest.

Do i think ball movement is better sometimes without Kobe? Of course!! because he is the facilitator. He has the ball so often, no one else really gets to touch it much.
I know this. i know he slows the flow of our team down sometimes, ive been watching him for 17 years.

I know he can go hero mode and shoot us out of the game, just as much as he can shoot us into a victory.

Ive been his biggest fan and his biggest critic, but im still a Laker fan first and foremost.
I dont want us to lose just to have Kobe look better, that ludicrous...and i sincerely hope that you werent pointing that accusation towards me.|I
And for any of you thinking any laker fan wants the lakers to fail because kobe is out you need your heads checked.
more evidence of how terrible you are at this debating thing, which requires a certain level of comprehension.

you are beyond naive if you honestly think that there is no one out there who wears Lakers stuff and has a Lakers avatar and would be uncomfortable with us winning the championship this year. if you don't think there are people out there who are huge Kobe fans and only like the Lakers because they are huge Kobe fans, I suggest you go back and reread every single Lakers post you have ever read in the last 17 years.

yes, there are definitely fans out there who love Kobe and do not want to hear anyone say anything about how we are playing awesome without their idol.
and I'm not saying that's going to happen, because I'm not psychic. We might be absolutely terrible.
Take this **** to the team thread. No gives a **** about this
You right.

so when the Lakers have a terrible game... And it will happen, eventually... You're going to keep quiet in here and just post in the Lakers hater thread right? just take it in there, because no ones trying to hear it in here, right?

Good to know. :D

Take this **** to the team thread. No gives a **** about this

No ones forcing you to glue your eyes to the NBA thread all night bro.
You can, take a break and look away from the computer screen you know? :lol

ya because going back and forth about who's a Kobe fan and who is a Laker fan is such a great topic.

Well look around bro.
No one else is really sayin much are they?
People are either gettin ready for work tomorrow or asleep... so why be so angry over the very few little people who are actually discussing NBA related topics? :lol

Whatever tho man, i'll exit. But the next time you discuss something someone doesnt wanna hear and they cuss at you about it. I expect you to exit as well...since its what you're asking us to do.

L2B, look, man, you're taking my posts to personally. I quoted you, then said something to a general audience, and if I was specifically talking to just you, I would tell you... directly. you wouldn't have to guess "Are you talking about me?"

first off.

second, it's not about posting like "Both teams played hard, meaning "I'm just going to keep quiet while you all see that I'm right." More like "Both teams played hard... meaning that I'm just going to keep quiet because I'm really not into the whole internet arguing thing."
