I wonder why Alec Burks is stuck on the bench
From the Jazz's radio play by play guy:
PLEASE tell us why Alec Burks isn't playing more...From @Coleswan and numerous others

Most importantly, this is not a criticism or a lack of faith in Alec Burks game. It is a numbers game. The first decision Corbin has made is to play Foye ahead of Burks as the back up shooting guard. That is hard to quibble with a this point. Foye adds the shooting this team was so desperate for last year and he has been making his shots this year. His defense v. Danny Green last night was surprisingly poor that is worth keeping an eye on. The next decision is to play Tinsley as the back up point guard. Tinsley gets the team into the offense and conducts the team so much better than Foye does. No one in the league really thinks Foye is a point guard including Foye but it is possible if Tinsley doesn't start making some shots that Foye will move over to the back up 1 for some minutes to get Burks on the floor. The problem here is this group can be pressured and the offense got pushed out onto the floor in the pre-season. Also , it takes away the offensive game of Foye. The other choice would be to play Burks instead of DeMarre but really DeMarre didn't play the 2nd half last night and the rotation needs to go to 9 not 10 plus the 3's we have been playing have all been big, Aminu, Marion and Jackson. Burks can't handle that very well yet. I would guess we see Burks soon the organization is not quitting on him or displeased with him it is simply numbers game.

I envisioned the jazz lineup being:

PG mo Williams
SG burks
SF Hayward
PF milsap
C Jefferson

Burks looked like he made the "I don't belong here in summer league jump" that good players make in year 2.
It is early, but if I were a team in need of a slashing 2, I'd inquire about him.

Some postgame quotes for KD on shooting/scoring less (16fga, down from 20 last yr) and passing more. He finished with 8 assists tonight

“You know, sometimes I need to be more aggressive to score, that’s what I do,” Durant said. “Next game I’ll be better in that area. I got to make more plays for my teammates and myself. But it’s something to learn from like I said. Some shots I should’ve took, but I passed up. But I’ll be better next game.”

Said Scott Brooks about it: “I never complain about guys trying to make the extra pass and make the right play. Kevin is a playmaker that makes the right play. I thought he passed up four shots tonight. And that’s something I’ll talk to him about. When you’re open you’ve got to shoot it. And that’s what we talk about to all our guys. You pass a good shot up for a great shot, absolutely. But a good for a good, Kevin needs to take those shots. But he’s rebounding, he’s passing — he just has to clean up his turnovers, six turnovers is too many. But I love when guys make plays and eight assists, I’ll take that any day.”

+/- of every lineup played tonight and further proof (as if it needed to be) that our starting lineup sucks and Martin should start
