lol they played zoned and often trapped iverson... and basically forced him on the wings so he couldnt one get a clear path to the lane...in which he was deadly with the floater.. and also so he couldnt have clear sight to his shooters. kobe in most part of that 2001 finals played help and roam defense off of eric snow...and often off mckie...until he started consistantly making the spot up jumper.

Funny thing is ai was the man at that time and hardly no one was a kobe d rider...(its crazy that most of this kobe love came once lebron came in the league and ppl start saying he was better etc...) and was saying how kb8 was weak and scared to guard ai.

I defended him then and i defend him now. It would have been stupid to try to chase ai night in and night out. One he would lose that battle moreso then often, and he would grow tired and be unable to provide anything offensively, and probably would have got into foul trouble early. Thus why ron harper and lue were on the job...You can afford to lose them if need be, and if they grow tire and cant provide any offense...who cares, aint like thats what their roll was on the team anyways.

What happened to Sam Young over the past couple years? I remember he was a hell of a role player for the Grizzlies in the playoffs a couple years ago, would hit some open 3's when they needed him to and had one of the best pump fakes I've ever seen. He still LOOKS like the same guy, but plays like he forgot how to play basketball.
