I'm just trying to understand why are people giving up on a 22 year old big man that obviously shows the talent, he just has attitude issues. Its not like he's Stromile Swift and shows the talent every blue moon. I think its more of where he's at than anything.
Its not just an attitude issue..... With Javale Mcgee or Andray Blatche, its cute how stupid they are

With Cousins, its starting to just get annoying to see this dude acting like a baby now and never accepting any responsibility. You know that kid you grew up with, who swore nothing was ever their fault? Thats Cousins.

oh ok I was thinking your FO might try to deal him away just to avoid the drama from happening over and over again. Dude will be a stud in this league just needs to act his age and not his shoe size. I admire his skill set and hope he can put it all together both mentally and physically real soon.

Unless there's a deal involving another player in that draft class or newer he won't get moved. Next year or during this offseasob I could see something happening tho

Cousins is like a top-30 player without trying.

A team is going to get him for next to nothing and make the rest of the league look like clowns for overlooking him because he's a "malcontent."

How are they gonna get him for next to nothing?

Because it's not like Sacramento's FO is stellar right now anyways and situations like this decrease a player's trade value because it puts the Kings in a position of desperation. See Dwight Howard.

i guess i'm the only one that isn't too interested in the headcase/ 6-11 / too many jumpshot shooting/ questionnable shot selection having/ 43% career shooting center that is Demarcus Cousins

The wonders of being around better teammates, organization and coaching...

If a player acts like this on a bad team and has elite level talent (especially someone as young as Cousins), I would take a chance on him if I'm a good/great organization with good coaching.

Word to Rasheed. I dont know if anybody can get to Cousins though. This dude is wild.

I wouldn't want the risk of a cancer on my team at all, but I really think a team may hit pay dirt if they got Cousins. A lot of young stars are like him. I'm sure he'll learn, but even if he doesn't...I'm sure there's an organization out there that can handle him.

Spurs...

too bad they have nothing to trade, well they kinda do but still

Good point. It's tough to see this situation getting any better.... But if it does, that just means the Kings will hang on to him :lol

From the Reddit Q&A earlier today:
Question: Why do basketball players only get recognition after they’ve been a part of a championship team? For instance, Dirk has been an amazing player for 10 years now, but only got the respect he truly deserved from fans after having a championship caliber supporting cast (Including coaches) around him. If it’s a team game, why do players only get appreciated after they accomplish something that’s mostly out of their control (Since, most of the time, they don’t decide who they get to play with)?

Cuban: Thats the stupid , macho element of all professional sports. Its a lot easier to just pin a lable on someone than to actually do the work to determine the impact of a player. ITs the same reason everyone over values scoring in the NBA. Scoring is usually the easiest part of the game.
Spot on.

Funny you say that. I would have guessed that the Sonics were in that "impossible to move" category with the Pistons as well.
pistons have a top 10 TV market and a stadium that everyone in the NBA loves. i wont compare that to the sonics.

seattle is a top 15 TV market if they had a new stadium i still believe the NBA would of told them no you cant move. thats why they will never approve the pacers or Hawks moving no matter the lack of fan support because they great NBA stadiums.

kings have everything wrong for the NBA to approve a move. bad stadium, avg TV market and zero fan support. you can add the Bucks to this also

I agree with most of that. There are far too many players in the history of the League who have been supreme talents, phenomenal ball players, but haven't had the fortune necessary to win a ring in the NBA. IMO championships have nothing to do with how good a player actually is.

However, scoring is far from the easiest thing to do in the NBA.

Ehhh apparently Orlando got plenty in return. They're not as bad as everybody thought they would be. I dont think Sac gives up Cousins without a substantial return.

Nah, though I wouldn't mind Salmons for our 2nd unit to be an anorexic homeless man's Harden, I'm just giving you a 2nd rd pick for him, or Reggie Jackson if you want him. If you would take Maynor,
The trade that needs to be made is for Varajeo. I give you Perkins, Lamb, Reggie Jackson (you only get 1 of the 2 rooks) for AV, Boobie, and Gee. I'm keeping our Toronto pick though plus IIRC Cleveland already has like 4 1st rd picks next yr so maybe they ain't interested in it. Give us another player I like, you can have our Charlotte 2nd rd pick though projected to be like 31.
But this organization overvalues the hell out of "sustainability, stability" and is super resistant to ever making ANY type of change. I'll admit, you can see Perk does have some unquantifiable value to "toughness, edge, leadership" on this roster but these 2 rebound in 30 minute nights can't continue. I feel like a healthy AV damn near guarantees us the chip.
Gortat, if he can be had is a nice option as well. I want Shannon Brown out of it too, so I'll throw in the Toronto 1st. I'll even give you both Lamb and Perry Jones, but now I want Dudley or Telfair and I think Morris. Of course, the bigger the deal gets the even further unlikely it becomes
Pipe dreams though, we aren't doing a thing except possibly something to address Maynor

You hitting them on the head, Perk needs to go. All the toughness and "leadership" will not help them against Miami but AV will do wonders.
His rebounding and effort on the defensive end could make all the difference in the world if the Heat stay as weak in the paint as they are right now.
Perkins just doesn't have the presence or production that he used to, Brooks won't let Presti deal him though.
Also I'd rather give up Perry than Lamb if possible, him playing behind against KD in practice for a couple of years could do wonders for him.
As you said though, **** ain't happening, it really needs to though because this is the best the KD Westbrook Ibaka core has ever been playing.
