The fact that he's damn near on par with the top 4 Laker players at each of their best statistics is NUTTY!

But believable. He's just THAT good :hat

James is shooting a career-high 54.4 percent from the floor on 562 field goal attempts. That's 54.4 percent. Pretty good, but factor in that most of his shots have come outside 10 feet. To put into perspective how good James' field goal percentage has been this season, consider that Bryant could make his next 97 shots and he still wouldn't have a better field goal percentage than James.

This is ridiculous...coupled w/ him shooting 41% from behind the arc :{

Dude is too fun to watch.

Why do the Grizz have to make a trade?

Also, LeBron, KD, and CP3 are my dudes, but I want Melo to win the MVP.
Because besides the fact that their are delusional sects of their fanbase that believe that they're a legit contender right now, they really aren't.

Actually, we are contenders. The reason they are making a deal is to clear some salary, while remaining a contender nitwit. You didn't say that when OKC traded Harden away did it?

:lol

Anyways, from my sources, the only teams that have called about Rudy are: Detroit, Cleveland, Minnesota, Warriors, Nets and Raptors. Milwaukee and Memphis did talk earlier in the year. Sacramento may be in the mix. From what I know, management is still looking to win now and get a young player with potential OR high draft pick. Washington also called, but I think they wanted ZBO in some kinda swap for Okafor.

The team is unlikely to move ZBO right now. Him and Marc together is what part of the reason the franchise is where they are now. It would be a huge letdown in the city if they moved ZBO. Rudy is treated like Pau around here. I'm fine with moving either player, but I do think Rudy fits in better with Conley and Marc in terms of long term fit. I'm thinking they feel ZBO gives us a best chance of being a contender wiht Marc and Conley, than Rudy, Conley and Marc. I'm guessing they can always move ZBO in the offseason if things don't work out.

All in all, the team needs a guy that can create his own shot. I would like to pair that guy with Rudy, but I'm fine with pairing him with ZBO/Marc. If we move Rudy and still don't get a guy that's capable of attacking the rim and someone we can trust with the ball in his hands, we might as well keep Rudy. Say what you want, but Rudy is a big shot maker and he does put the team on his back at times.

Some moves I can see us making would be something like: (the simple versions)

Stuckey & Prince for Rudy
Maggettee (expiring), '14 1st (top 3 protected), Stuckey for Rudy
Waiters, CJ Miles, Walton, Gibson for Rudy
Something similar to the Minnesota deal Zach Lowe mentioned
Gerlad Wallace, Brooks, Teletovic or something like that for Rudy

Golden State still wants Rudy, but I'm sure they don't want to mess up what's going on right now. A 3 way involving Bogut, Jefferson, Barnes could possibly happen.

Don't ask me how I know this stuff. 8o

At the end of the day, I would probably just wait til the offseason to make a deal. I felt that way about any team who has a shot at contending because you take a huge risk at dealing a core piece.

They aren't a contender because they don't score enough.

Edit:

@ESPNSteinLine Daequan Cook scheduled to clear waivers at 5 PM ET. If he's not claimed, I'm told, Bulls firmly in lead to sign 3-point specialist

What does OKC trading away with Harden have to with anything? They have a legit superstar in KD, and then a bonafide all-star in Westbrook, both who aren't even in their prime.  I'm well aware that the team is cash strapped moving forward with that awful contract that Rudy got. I just don't think that they are a legit contender, and many other people agree with that right now as well.

They aren't a contender because they don't score enough.

Just like Boston wasn't last year when they were the #1 ranked defense and ranked #24 in offensive eff.. And every team we play seems to score around the same amount we score, meaning they are playing into our game. Its a lot harder to be a great defensive team, than a great offensive team. Memphis just has to get hot at the right time.

I didn't see Memphis play Miami, SAS, LAC and OKC and say "we are far away from beating those guys." We actually beat 2 out of 4, lost the other game in a BS OT match and lost to LAC in the 1st game of the season. To act like those teams don't have their own problems and make it seem like we have all the problems doesn't seem fair. If anything, OKC looked terrible against us because they Harden is really who hurt us the most when he was paired with KD and Westbrook.

We can go to war with any of them in a series. Who's stopping ZBO and Marc, if this team ends up shooting the ball at a decent rate and can get a guy that's capable of attacking the rim?

I don't see Memphis as Contenders either but I hope they prove me wrong would be nice to see a new team in the finals like last year with OKC

ill gladly take Rudy on the pistons.

get Stuck and Prince out of here. Even though i want Prince to retire as a Piston, screw him :lol

Some of ya'll better hope they not contenders. :lol

The past two years, its been something stupid that's messed our chances up. Year 1, we needed another perimeter player against OKC when Rudy was out. Year 2, we blew that damn Game 1 lead and ZBO wasn't a 100%. Let's just see what happens before we act like SAS, LAC and OKC are the Memphis killers.

JA :lol

My only issue is to why people don't think the Grizz can contend? Is it because they had a .500 month in December? Is it the same reason people thought the Clippers wasn't a contender after they were 8-6 in November? It can't be the fact they don't have anyone that can take over a game because I'm sure most of you have seen ZBO take over games. Rudy can too (if they keep him).

How many games have they played in where they had to play the other teams game instead of vice versa? What makes you think if they matched up with those other 3 teams, that they won't play Memphis game? They may not have Paul, Parker/Manu or KD, but none of those teams have a ZBO/Gasol either. And I KNOW all of you have seen them cause wreckage on anybody when given the opportunity.

If you don't believe in the teams outside shooting, what if they bring in more guys capable of shooting the ball on top of who they have? If they get better by moving Rudy, adding more shooters around ZBO/Marc and maybe a guy that can score 14-16 a game, then what?

I just really want to know why they aren't a contender.
