What do y'all think of Austin Rivers could he be Roy?
Not from what I have seen... from the couple of Hornets games I've watched they're trying to play him off the ball and he struggled with the NBA 3 point line. Maybe someone that always watches the Hornets can chime in.

I don't get how Drose is ahead of schedule than Rubio is....when he got hurt a month before rose did. Rose been shooting jump shots for weeks while Rubio hasn't even started cutting yet....anyways what's y'all take on Austin Rivers will he get enough PT for at least being considered Roy?
I was just thinking this too... and if there were rumors of D Rose sitting out the season, what does that mean for Rubio :lol

4. Rick Adelman, Minnesota -- 6.7%
5. George Karl, Denver -- 6.7%
6. Doc Rivers, Boston -- 6.7%
Also receiving votes: Mike Brown, L.A. Lakers; Tom Thibodeau, Chicago

OKC has the advantage vs LA much like MIA had vs Boston this past year. Their top end guys can go the distance and take advantage of the opposing 2nd unit. Considering LA has 4 impact guys, Mike Brown should be able to mix and match things to balance out, but who knows if that will happen.
I can't wait to see them go up against each other. WCF will be awesome.

Lakers are shaping up well man, I'm not sure. MWP looks to be locked in. Pau will gain confidence as his team plays well. Nash will not disappoint, nor will Dwight.

I can't wait to see what impact Dwight has on the Thunder when Russell tries to attack the paint. No, Nash won't be able to stop him at all, but feeding him to Dwight might work pretty well.

Also knowing that Kobe has put a deadline on his career, I think he's hungry to get #6.

Beating the Thunder is likely I think, but not beating the Heat.

Having an answer to Wade AND LeBron is tough.

Regardless, BOS VS MIA, BOS VS LAL, MIA VS OKC, MIA VS LAL, LAL VS OKC, my goodness man, we're about to get spoiled this year. :hat

My point was if KG could have played 45 minutes last year as well as he did for 35 - Boston is likely in the Finals. He couldn't, LeBron could. I think the Lakers may face that same issue being an older team going against KD and Russ.

My bad, didn't read it thoroughly.

In the back-court, it will definitely be a test for the Lakers. I think it all depends on how Mike Brown handles the minutes of Nash and Kobe. Kobe is notorious for playing an absurd amount of minutes in his career, but Nash has slowed down a bit recently. Nash was never a 40 MPG kind of guy. He was down to just above 30 last year.

If Mike Brown pushes him to around 35-38 MPG, I'm shaky going into the Playoffs.

But if he can keep him to around 28-30, keep him healthy, I'm confident that he can play fine deep in the Playoffs.

I'm a pretty firm believer in resting in the regular season and saving it for the Playoffs. Rick rested Kidd a lot in the Championship run, and he looked like he was 26 in 2011, not 36.

"He didn't talk any trash, but his eyes did."

Gotta love Jim Barnett. :rollin

Speaking of, I'm really looking forward to the Warriors this season. They are deep for the first time since the 07 run. They have a lot of talent on the roster, and no guys that scream at you, but if Bogut and Steph can play more than 70 games each (I know, asking a lot), I think they can string together a ton of wins. David Lee is in great shape, he looks to be ready to play, Steph looked great in the limited action he's seen, and Brandon Rush and the rest of their wing players seem to be satisfied with their roles.

They are up there with Minnesota and Denver to me, strictly on the basis of teams that I think can take a huge leap this year.

beast. you can talk about all the other flashy rookies, while Nicholson quietly puts on a clinic. if he gets solid minutes, he could be all rookie 1st team. so efficient.

Your favorite troll's favorite troll.

Watching this Raptor v. Bucks game, this Jonas Valencnfjjdiruks dude seems too timid on offense but has a couple nice blocks and some boards.
