Heat’s Dion Waiters reacts to fans who suggest he comes off bench: ‘I’m a starter in this league, I’m not coming off no bench’
But Waiters admitted he is not comfortable as a reserve.
“I never liked the role,” he said before the Heat’s practice Friday in Mexico City. “I just had to accept it.”
Miami plays Brooklyn tonight (6 p.m.) at Arena Ciudad de Mexico.
And the numbers show he plays better as a starter, averaging 15.3 points and shooting .414 (.351 on threes) compared to 11.6 points on .410 shooting (.333 on threes) as a reserve in his career. He averages 1.2 assists more a game (3.4 compared to 2.2) as a starter.

It was weird to me how un-aggressive Dipo was. Dude was clearly intimidated by Russ and didn't wanna step on his toes. Russ was doing too much gunning and Dipo shoulda stepped up. Just wasn't a good fit.

Yea. I think it's as simple as thinking too much. In game, your really supposed to just read and react. Too much thinking kills your rythm when your whole life, you been playing off instincts.

Nah thats impressive but his game itself dont impress me. Like Wavy & others said, he aint got no real explosiveness. I cant see how some of the stuff he was doing in them highlights is gon work in the league
Not saying he gon be trash but i wouldnt pick him first over some of these other college guys

Because of his shooting and his ability to run an elite level PNR.
His lack of of explosiveness has to be a concern though.
