For starters, the stars from the teams in the finals wouldn’t play. Plus everyone is gone on vacation cause they got eliminated or didn’t even make the playoffs.

NBA needs a break halfway thru the season too. The schedule is too long.
One thing I'd love to see the NBA adapt in the future is a copa del ray / league cup trophy like they do in soccer in addition to the NBA finals. They'll prolly never do it, but a march madness style, single game elimination tourney would be hella fun.
