Traveling for work & came up on free tickets the Mavs game last night. He’s the only reason I went and he didn’t disappoint.

First off he’s not 19
I know what you’re saying, but for a PG to not be able to at least keep a defense honest with their scoring in today’s NBA is a glaring weakness that shines most in crunch time like in many games this year. He’s has a bunch of games with 6 pts or less and less than 30% shooting .

Literally every other facet of his game has translated and he’s been bombing 40 foot shots since he was a child. I’d be surprised if he isn’t at least league average from 3 by year 3-4. Then you have a critical glue guy on a title team, a valuable contributor

The other holes in his game will probably never get fixed which will cap his ceiling but I’m not concerned at all about him knocking down open 3s.

Yeah this has been true, especially with all the injuries

East to me definitely stronger at this point, I feel like outside of CLE, again because of injuries, I'm taking a bunch of East teams before Portland/OKC/Pels/Spurs/Wolves

He can absolutely be an important piece for a good team. It's just not what I would want that high in the draft.
