Man how can one not like Jonathan Simmons? Especially if you know his story. Too bad the Spurs were too loaded at his position.

Like shoeking mentioned, the Cavs are going through Finals fatigue.

They look listless out there, especially on the defense end.

After Lebby got him paid, Tristan Thompson has been giving piss poor effort.

He seems content collecting checks and letting the Kardashian succubus Shang Tsung him.

On the real though, the defensive effort begins and ends with Lebby. He has been mediocre at best on that end for years. Given the mileage on his body it's understandable if he takes plays off here or there but he is literally a turnstyle at this point.

Him having to exert so much effort on the offensive end also adds to his defensive efficiencies. Maybe if Kevin Love were more of a focal part of the offense like Lue and Bron said he would be with Myrie's departure maybe that would ease the burden a bit for Bron on that end :emoji_thinking:but I digress.

Cavs are a dumpster fire right now and while IT coming back will help them a bit he's not gonna do a thing for their defensive deficiencies.

And to be fair, the Warriors are going through Finals fatigue too as evidenced by their "slow" start this season.

Their slippage isn't as bad as the Cavs because:

1. They have 2 of the top 3 players in the league while the Cavs have 1
2. They have 4 of the top 15 - 20 players, 3 of whom are outstanding defensive players
3. They are as good defensively as they are offensively
4. Unlike Cleveland they can turn the switch on when they need to

I never said the Cavs were going through finals fatigue though  I said they were old (which they are) and I essentially insinuated that they look how old teams look at the end of their run. After 4 years or so, a team that started off as kind of old is now old as **** and it's why teams don't make 4 straight trips to the finals often. You have to be kind of old to begin with, so after 4 years? It's over.

But from a pure basketball perspective, the cavs masked their lack of defense with LBJ+Shooting. With no 3's and individual brilliance from Kyrie to bailout their bad defense, this is the result.

Dedmon definitely wasn't. Simmons could have gotten on the program though but guy has four kids he has to feed. Take that money bro.

Another Cavs loss, y'all. :smokin

Someone on NT got very indignant with me this summer when I said Michael Beasley belongs in China.

Guy is straight awful.

Celtics 8 straight wins :pimp:

The win extended Boston’s win streak to eight games and put them atop the NBA with an 8-2 record, following their 0-2 start to the season.

The eight straight wins broke a tie with the 2016-17 team for most consecutive wins under Brad Stevens. The eight victories in a row are the most the Celtics have had since the 2010-11 team won 14 consecutive games over a month long stretch from late November to late December.

8 in a row for Boston.

Still not entirely convinced this defense is as good as numbers suggest so far. Great start though.
