Yeah I always use icon passing too but it's annoying because it's always a pass that can easily be stolen, in some situations a bounce pass would be a better idea.

icon passing slows your reaction time, but directional passing is soooo trash on this game you have no other choice
This too. Sometimes by the time you end up passing the ball, who you're passing to isn't where he was anymore and there goes your 6th turnover

gotta get in the habit of bringing up the icons to pass cause as of late the A button is ******* me over A LOT. Its pretty obvious who im trying to pass it to yet it goes nowhere near the guy but to someone whose not even in the picture

Dude the frustration levels from this :{ ive went thru three xbox controllers because of this lol

Ran into a center yesterday on MyPark that was knocking down 3s like it was nothing. I swear he made me want to snap my disk.

Make sure in the controller settings that your passes are set to direction instead of openess.

This made a huge difference in turnovers for me as I like to point the stick in the direction of my pass and not based who is open bc one second they are so pens but the next second they are not, turnover.

I look at folks playing 2K and a LOT of turnovers are user error. Folks tend to make VIDEO GAME passes (across zones) that they wouldn't make if they were playing basketball.

Then they get mad at the CPU for having, "E.yes in the back of their head" when those turnovers can be prevented

You always think the game never makes mistakes :{ the pass in this game is thrash point blank period....

^true.  The problem with directional passing is not that you're making a bad pass to a particular spot, it's that the ball tends to not go to the direction you want it

that's not on me, if i'm trying to direct a ball to a player on the wing and it goes into the paint to be picked off

Yea I disagree but ok. I can consistently keep my passing turnovers to < 3 each game. User error. This game has flaws. People just have never turned their mind off of playing arcade basketball when they play this game.

I would suggest using directional passing VERY VERY rarely man. Unless the person is closest to you. I honestly use Icon passing 99% of the time

Anyone apply the community-created Draft Classes when starting a new MyGm, or going with the games default, CPU based version?
Yea what is your concern exactly?
There are MANY user help threads on OperationSports Forums. Go check them out. I would ask how much time have you spent in practice mode mastering dribbling commands and shot controls?

Honestly depends on who created the Draft Class man and whether or not they understand how 2K's rating system works and properly creating rookies that will fall in line.

Go for it. I love that 2K allows us to do personalized draft classes man. When that news came out in 2K10, it was some of the best news ever.

I used to create some dope realistic draft classes. Been out that game for a while, and haven't been on OS in a minute. Link to any realistic sim draft classes?

So tired of dudes using warriors I knw its just a game but are you really that garbage that you have to play online with them? Smdh those mofos should go play connect 4 or some ish like that...terrible

It's like that every year, the champs always get used the most, the worst was Miami when Bron was there dudes think it a advantage but I still woop that ***.....

I feel you (no ayo) i just feel like the game does dumb ish on passing. Its hard in the heat of the moment to bring up the icons to pass all the time esp on split second decisions.
I know you will hate this answer but training your brain to do it via slowing down and doing it for every pass in srimmege mode will get you right for actual games.

There is a dude named EZEKIAL or something on XBOX One. Falls in line with the in game rating

That's the AI, not you, there's no reason what so ever that my center should notice a mismatch down low, post up for .5 sec then move to the three-point line. Your teammates AI is ridiculous but the full CPU team AI is more realistic. When I played against Dwight in earlier 2Ks, he's grabbing boards in his sleep, now that I'm on his team, I avg more rebounds than him

NBA 2K16 Freelance Info: OS Community "Wiki" - Operation Sports Forums http://www.operationsports.com/foru...ba-2k16-freelance-info-os-community-wiki.html

Some good info in this thread. Not sure how much background basketball knowledge you have but this has a lot of "insider" talk, meaning they assume you have some sort of basketball knowledge. Not saying you don't, just giving a heads up

Thanks I appreciate it, I'd like to think I have decent knowledge of the game, played all the way through high school and even coached a bit. As far as practice, I haven't spent much time on that, typically just trying out a few new moves, like I said this was kind of just like a pick up and play game for me and I didn't want to invest too much time into it and be great, but I'll check that thread out and see if there is anything I can pick up to help me a little.
