Being a 55 aint that bad, I mean most of us will have additional 20 or 30K in VC which should put up to at least mid 70's, and starting out in the mid 70's mean you'll probably max out your MyPlayer in year 1 of the NBA, then be bored with nothing left to attain in myCareer except playing in the park/rec.

Not most.. Even undrafted rookies are rated higher than 55..they got you going high in the draft.. The least they can do is make you at least 70. 55 gotta be like the lowest possible rating you can be

It used to be 40 in 2K11. It's a good middle ground. My player was way too easy and became a snooze fest these past few years, I like it.

This is what im saying ...starting in the 70's just make MyCareer too easy and it becomes boring very fast when its too easy. At least rated as 55 will at least give me a week or so before I start seeing 99 rated players in the park/rec.

yea i also hate that you have to build up your ability to jump and dunk/ layup like nobody goes from barely putting in dunks to soaring thru the air like gerald green a few months later
your athletic abilities should be allowed to almost max out off the rip and then you just focus on building up skills like a real rookie

Get drafted high but you're slow, can't protect the ball, can't make a layup, can't dunk (plausible depending on position), and can't shoot. 2K got us out here lookin like Luke Walton

Yea, if they are going to start you off with a low rating, they need to make it a little more realistic in terms of the drafting process. How about start out as a 2nd round pick on a nonguaranteed contract? Maybe play some summer league, get noticed and all that jazz? Being a lottery pick and can barely play basketball is kinda silly
I do like the fact they made it more difficult to become a better player from the jump. I just don't get agree with the being a lottery pick.

naw b ^ , obvious vc hustle i remember that DLC with the draft combine & having to play games to get skill points/attribute upgrades ....i miss 2k before it got mainstream

The one thing I can complain about every year with 2k is their dookie *** servers for head to head.. I sure hope they finally fixed it. I won't get too exited until I play an actual game without any problems or lag.

A 55 rating wouldn't be that bad if you had at least 1 good attribute to carry you. If you're a PG, it could be speed, passing, ball handling. SG: speed, shooting close to mid-range, IQ. SF: dunking, IQ, etc. etc. You're a complete bum, it makes no sense. Last year it did because u went undrafted
