Thinking about it and honestly of Bynum DOESN'T want to sign the extension I still think the Cavs should make the deal..

We lose Varejao and maybe a pick or 2? Go for it

Put Bynum with Irving and see how good we are.

When next seasons end the Cavs can still offer AB a huge deal.

Go for it Dan

Dwights not getting traded anytime soon so Bynum aint going anywhere.

Magic need to live up to their name and understand they'll disappear once this Dwightmare is over

Just facts.

Shabazz Orlando 2013

That's the biggest problem.. If they keep Dwight around they may play themselves into the purgatory picks...

The Orlando organization just needs to realize that they are ******!

Period.

They will not even come close to contending for a couple years and they need to get that.

Trade Dwight. Get draft picks.

REBUILD!

sounds like no one wants to play in orlando.. sucky team, future looks sucky.. owners and management are a joke.. besides have we not learned from the past, the magic does not know how to keep players.. shaq, penny, tmac, hill, no one else wants to be there

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHh for **** sake
It's unclear whether Magic officials still believe there's a legitimate chance they can convince Howard to remain long-term. Perhaps the team's brain trust thinks the potential reward outweighs the possible risk. At the bare minimum, the Brooklyn Nets still would trade for Howard once Brook Lopez becomes trade-eligible again Jan. 15. Orlando Sentinel

And you know what the Nets will offer... Brook Lopez for Dwight Howard.... Straight Up. Absolutely Zero incentive to add more to a deal.

Hennigan is a mockery of a GM

Trading Dwight for Lopez is how you make your team really bad for another 5 years.

Exactly......this is like beginner type ****. Dwight's NOT gonna change his mind, Orlando's NOT gonna get any "better" deals as this nonsense drags on :{ . This dude hennigan is tryna hit a homerun in his first at bat :rolleyes

Pretty much.. As bad as I want Dwight.. If Houston got him with a decent deal... I think it'd be a huge mistake on Houston's part, but at least it's a good offer..

Lakers/Cavs deal... Good offer..

Take 1 of the 2 and move on.. Jesus H. they're doing themselves no favors.

Still think the cavs deal would be the best.what would howard do in houston?worse team than he has now and imo western conference is harder than eastern conference

How is the Lakers/Cavs deal where they get stuck with Varejao a good deal?

Easier contract to move than any of the bad contracts the Magic have...

And even then look for a 4th team to take Verejao (Bobcats were one team that wanted Verejao, swap Diop to Orlando). Cavs also have close to $15mil of expiring contracts and still a little over $10mil of cap space... And Cavs have more picks than anyone.

Hedo will likely still be a Magic, but almost everyone that's a bad contract could be moved.

If that was how the deal was drawn up and Cleveland was willing to take on all the bad contracts for Bynum, sure. But that's not what it was. As it was it wasnt a good deal for Orlando.

Either trade him to Houston and let them deal with it or just wait.

We don't know specifically the details, we only had the framework
