I was wondering this too. My best guess is that since the draft is gonna be happening less than a week after the Finals end, they are trying to speed up the off season process leading up to the draft.Originally Posted by diew its james

@hornets247 Hearing that Demps is planning on making a run at a young center this summer. Who would you prefer if price were the same: Hibbert or McGee?
@hornets247 The Hornets can give Gordon and Hibbert or McGee big contracts and still have money for a max deal next summer.
Pairing Hibbert and Davis makes a whole lot of sense, but I feel like the Pacers would match almost anything for him.

They will.
So, your best bet is to overpay McGee.

All I'm saying is that it's #!% backwards for KG to be making 21.1 mil at age 36. He's not the Big Ticket anymore

Steve Nash expressed interest in signing with the Knicks when he becomes a free agent July 1.
"The Knicks are a great franchise and I live in New York City (each summer), so I'd definitely consider them if they were interested," Nash said.
Nash will explore all of his options in free agency.
"I want to wait and see what's actually on the table," he said. "I'm open and excited. I'm looking at every possibility right now. It sounds like there are a number of teams that are interested."

But, let's say he doesn't do anything right now. What happens next offseason when the Hornets need a center? Make a push for Dwight?
Howard, Bynum, Pekovic...
Anthony Davis? That opens the door for power forwards. Jefferson, Millsap...
Next year's draft, a trade...
Hell, maybe they take another post player seven days from now.
It's not really something I'm concerned about. There's a solution in there somewhere.

Would love to see this happen.

That OKC lineup would be crazy but Dwight likes the big market.
