Official New Balance Thread *sizing info for different models on first page*

So will Mojitos pop up at more spots you think? I missed a few times as well. They arent a must for me but I wouldnt mind a pair if the price is right.

Pull the trigger. The coupons don't usually work for the NBs. Granted, the Black Friday/Christmas ones did, but the rest of the year they rarely do an all-inclusive coupon.
Thanks. Think that answers it. I should have done it before when those BF and Xmas deals were inclusive.

Just getting in to New Balance so don't blast me :) I'm getting way to tired of missing out on Nike "limited" releases, never wore them either. I really like NB because there aren't any repeated CWs and the hype isn't anywhere near Nike/Js. My experience is that NBs are wide? True? How do releases work? Thanks..

^^^ It all depends on which model you're asking about in regards to fit. Personally I fit TTS for all the NBs that I own. Read back a few pages where people suggest fit for which models.

You will find out releases for collaborations at your normal blogs, but for GR NBs they can be found at a lot of places. It all really depends which NB you are looking for. Boutiques like Feature LV, West NYC & Premiere have a mix of Collabs and GR. Shops like Nordstoms, Pacsun, Urban Outfitters usually have some GRs. International shops like Hanon, Sneakernstuff, End, Atmos, Mita, Stussy also sell NBs.

NBs aren't as simple as retro Jordans which you can cop at your local HOH, FL, FNL, NDC, Eastbay...etc. Depending which model you like you'll have to go to certain stores. Read up and Keep up with this thread and NTers will provide each other info on many models. Good luck and welcome to NB.

Thx dia because I'm new to it as well because of all the hype around Nike and Jordans. One of my friends started collecting them a while back and he told me give nb a shot but I have one on the way I'll post pics 2moro

Well I know some of nb releases r tough 2 get but I'll rather take my chances with nb because I don't like puma or ad did as really unless its the samoa

dont even bother- the hype is real and theres limited releases that are just as hard to get. Adidas is your best bet, and Puma too
word, dont get into NB cuz of the hype of another brand, get into it cuz you appreciate the brand

other than that..good luck on the new search

kicks504 - id suggest you get some NB GRs first to see how you like them. if you're a NB head... you'll find that you like the GRs more than the hyped up collabs

im sure just about everyone has a mix of GRs and collabs. but don't buy the hype.

listen to all of the above advise and read back a few pages. there are several spots with discounts on last seasons stuff. there are tons of different styles from 420 to 2000 in number so prepare for a variety of choices

I paid $325 for mine, and that was the lowest I was able to get anybody in my size. I love the shoe though; very subtle and very comfortable. Fits a little tighter than my other New Balances, but still TTS.

So should I stay true to size or go up possibly half a size? My foot's been kinda growing, so I've gone up a size in my asics, but not sure about my nbs :/

Haha, a lot of my friends wear NB too, my pops is a big NB'head. I absolutely hate Adidas. My favorite GRs are the simple grey 990s, I'm love any sleek shoe (hence why I like the 990s better than the 993s)

whatever you wear in jordan, add 1/2 size up, and that will usually be your go-to size for NB's

if you grew in your asics, its safe to say you grew out of your NB's as well
