Someone with a lot more knowledge here can correct me, but I believe "CL" refers to classic and 'S' might stand for classic steel blue colorway?
CLS is an offshoot of the CL. 1300CL has a leather lining while CLS is softer.
if you missed out on the Japan’s, like I did, you really can’t go wrong with these for a third of the (resale) price.
