Both are hard to find for a decent price. The USA JP was still a rip off for the quality.

Not particularly. With work shoes I still prioritized comfort, so I mostly stayed in wallabees and lunargrands. I have some frye boots with a full vibram wedge sole that are a silhouette similar to visvim virgils that do me well for winter weather. I wanted to get some paraboots or yuketens for work this year but alas, I'm WFH in definitely.
