I think the black part in the tan pair ruins it (kinda) for me. Ripstop is dope though even though I hate that material on clothes.

The hairy-suede tongue is the best part of the 998 for me. Haven’t seen that on a shoe yet.

Mainly aesthetics. Prefer mesh on runners. So even suede and leather toeboxes on runners in not running towards as quickly as mesh. And in the past with footwear, rip stop usually has another fabric layer underneath which makes shoes run hot. If
