Roses came in. Here’s a quick pic. I was skeptical, but the shape looks great. Much improved for sure.

Got mine today, too. Better than I thought as well. Figured for $130ish, why the hell not.

fahqu001 fahqu001 don't blame ya. My Kool Wine series are one my personal NB1 favorites. :nthat:

jamesandstl jamesandstl those 998CSA are nice. It has a Concept 998 "Boston" (Fenway vibe). I was tempted to grab off ebay 3 days ago for $92 shipped l, but then folded and just made these NB1 with the "Save40" discount code instead. :pimp:

* I wanted to see what their synthetic material "chinchilla" looks like.

apart from the silhouette and maybe tech, is there a big difference between the 998 and the 1500?

Quick question about NB history - was just curious what is the difference between the two different 575 models? I haven't been into sneakers that long so learning about the history behind stuff is always fun.

Also, ended up going with perf toe 998s for wedding kicks, pics when they arrive... :nerd:

the original 575 from 1988 was the precursor to the 576 and 574. the japanese reissue cm575 was made in the late 90s/early 00s. then the current uk made 575.

the "other" 575 is technically called the mt575 (mountain trail), and is a trail running shoe that was only available in japan/asia in the early 00s. soon after a made in uk version came out in the mid 00s, but they dropped the "mt" prefix. during the late 00s, there were both uk and asian made versions simultaneously.

there is also a 3rd 575, which is a recent lightweight running shoe with Cush midsole.

there is even a 4th 575, which is an all black, leather old man's walking sneaker with velcro

it can get pretty confusing with the same name used on several models...which is part of the reason why they've used more "names" instead of "numbers" lately

The fit. Most people size half down for 998 whereas 1500 can varies from going TTS to half up. IMO 1500 has narrower toebox as compared to 998.
998 - MiUSA
1500 - MiE
