I have the YCMC big checks pair, but now wanting some blue crabs
One tiny gripe--if you could call it that, is the insole is more slippery than your standard 990v5 insole. Its got a slight satin'ish finish on it. Not a big deal, but you definitely feel a difference. I love that it came with its own special bag and 1040 refund check with a coupon code for a future NB purchase. I paid retail on release day and have no regrets!
One detail on the shoe that is not pictured well is part of the midsole color is silver! I think it looks fantastic.
I'm exactly the opposite: I already have the blue crabs, and now I want some big checks. Your post/pics are really making me look forward to receiving them. Somehow I never noticed the splash of silver.

You know what's gonna happen? Stock will be gone and a year from now everyone is going to want a pair to rock next summer!

Seriously, I can't wait. I've been watching these for months waiting for a sale. Somehow YCMC has maintained a FSR - up until today. 8, 8.5, and 9 (my size) are finally OOS. If I'd waited one more day, I'd be out of luck.
If anyone else is considering this pair - buy now, or expect to pay a lot more on the resale market.
