I did and before it opened we had months of training in a hotel, with the opening getting pushed back multiple times. It was memorable and exhausting.

Those NiceKicks 992's look straight out of NB1.

I would imagine NB is having brands use up the materials on those that have been sitting around since NB1 closed. All those do is make me wanna create my own pair again so bad. I had to return two NB1 992's due to major flaws, never got to keep a pair before the lockdown occurred.

I was and to some degree still am high on these pairs, but you’re absolutely correct in that any one of us could have designed a similar if not spot-on version in NB1. The more I think about it, I am actually passing on these now because I do not have a connection to Amoeba Music. I would choose the Egg Paperboy 992 over these because I love eggs, and that pair didn’t seem to get any love lol.

JFG 992 was also a glorified NB1. Entirely replicable sans leather

It definitely was, but that drop also connected to All Star Weekend, Kawhi with the “No Emotions Are Emotions” theme, and the colorway representingthe anatomy of a heart. imo there were more story layers that made that pair more covetable. The reasons I like the Amoeba pairs are different from why I like the JFG pair, but all three could’ve been made in NB1.

Idk how they did. Theyre tight acorss the toes for me. I mistakenly sized down on the pair youre wearing (got the uk conversion wrong) and i remember first trying it on not knowing my mistake and they way too damn tight

that’s what I was thinking. Remember when they dropped and ppl on here keep recommending to siZe down? I was scratching my head my TTS was tight as it is.

Anyone got the lead on some white/cream laces for these 550's? My ALD pair has some of the cheapest thinnest laces I've ever felt in my life. I feel like I can't even tie the shoe tight enough in fear of them straight ripping. New Balance website has no white what so ever which is ridiculous.

Are Foxtrot laces in basics colors worth the cost? I can grab cream laces from ebay for about $3.60 a pair but if they are really quality I might grab a couple for my higher end pairs.

I really like them. They are a bit overpriced but to me the quality is worth it for a few pairs. They are just shoe laces tho lol

theyre pretty nice quality and better than $2-3 laces. not 6-7x better but better

Yeah they look a lot nicer then anything you're gonna get on ebay, but damn $23 for one pair has me second guessing. lol That's like 1/6th the cost of the actual shoe.
