Foxtrot’s my guy. Sold me my 85 1s for the low before all the last dance hype. His laces are high quality and got the 85 weave down to a science. Just so happens they look good on other shoes as well. Here’s my 990v3s with foxtrot cream laces back in oct.

I'll always recommend converse parchment or egret laces, whatever they're called. $3 and come in 45 or 54, 45 is good for most NBs in my experience. Not too yellow, more of a sail, natural, or ivory tone. Those "creams" in the 990s look way out of place. Too yellow compared to the rest of the white of the rest of the shoe or even the white socks in my eyes.

i feel it. the 990s are from 2014 and are starting to get a great worn in vintage look. the stock white laces were too skinny and too clean for me and i had to switch it up.

This pair and most MiUK pairs fit me best TTS, but I can get away with going 0.5 down as well with a little stretch from a cedar shoe tree, snug but doable. It all depends on your foot and how you like your shoes to fit. I can wear a 10 or 10.5 in all MiUS / MiUK pairs, but the 10 fits me the best in the MiUS pairs, not too snug not too loose ( 990, 992, 993, 995, 996, 997, 998, 999, 1300, 1400) and the 10.5 fits me best in the MiUK pairs (1500, 1530, 670, 576, 577).

These are engineered garments patchwork fatigues. I can't remember the season, F/W or S/S 2019 maybe

I can't afford those expensive laces but thank goodness NB was charitable enough to include extra ones in some of its releases. Here's my 992TN with the white ones I got from a 327, which in turn got its replacement from a 1500 that had an extra pair. If you're tight on budget, I suggest that you buy more NB's for the free laces!
