on browner's stance(s) that could be telling on what we were doing defensively. that ish better not be the reason we lose. idk if its just me but browner kinda has club foot or just the way he stands and his foot is pointing way outwards.

just my observation.

i hope our OL finds their groove and mauls bodies in the playoffs and i think connolly is a big part of that if he plays himself.

I remember maybe few years ago, there was a long article (don't remember where i read it) but scar was really giving praises towards connolly saying how he's one of the more talented guys that he's coached and thats saying lot. he coached pretty long *** time, 30 years?  he said something along of those lines that t he had it all, toughness, technique, and so on. thought that was interesting as hell.... he was literally glowing talking about connolly and im like, really??!  ironically, it seems as that for the '14 pats OL, we seem to be at our best with connolly in the lineup and doin what he does.

i dont think i read anything about jimmy's mop up duty in the bills game. given the circumstances, i thought he played good. guy is light and quick on his feet. goes thru his progressions. quick decisionmaker. he has touch on his balls. accurate. no i didn't get all that from the bills game but throughout the year (preseason, practice, etc) plus this past sunday. I think we've found tom brady's successor. i really think the game's gonna come easier to him than most guys and definitely doesn't hurt to sit and learn from a sure fire HOF. he has some aaron rodgers to him kinda? just the vibe and obviously the playing style is similiar in a way IMO.

I'm exicted as hell for him but i'm not ready for him yet. we're still not finished with tom as we would all agree on. brady's latest contract reconstruction has got me feeling uneasy. i think TB is starting to see the writing on the wall. i mean, honestly i think it's a toss up if he's even gonna get to see the end of the contract

Hope our O-line gets their **** together and this offense can get off to a fast start

Upside is an improved defense, Gronk back at full strength

Were not facing Pollard and Lewis, things are a little different this time around but regardless it's going to be a tough game, I believe we'll come out with the W

Yeah

Didn't want to see Baltimore. Like at all :lol

But if they're as good as they think they are, we would have had to see them anyway. Just glad it's at home and our guys are well rested. Hopefully they're not rusty :{

If the offense comes out slow again . . . :{ Flacco isn't really the type to make mistakes in big games from what i've seen . Offense needs to put up 30+ IMO

not the ravens team of years past BUT i'm with you guys. still didn't want to face them. their pass rush yesterday was pretty insane. hopefully we can block it to give the offense a chance. i can totally see us starting slow. hopefully they pick it up quick. gronk this time around should help, as well as a good outside presence with lafell.

defense i'm not worried about. expect them to do their thing and not allow flacco any big plays. they should force him into a mistake or two.

Revis/Browner/Collins/Hightower give me hope that things will be different this time around

Really didn't wanna have to see these dudes in the post season but oh well,it could make for a hopefully satisfying revenge W.

Revis/Browner/Collins/Hightower give me hope that things will be different this time around

This gives me hope. In years past,Flacco would have me ******** my pants because of how badly the secondary used to defend the deep ball and against the pass but I have faith in this years personnel to be reliable.

Defense aside,the o-line HAS to step up to give the offense a shot. We already know what happens to the offense when they get consistant pressure on Brady early :{

smh... those pesky ravens again
laugh.gif
i think the game is gonna be tight. flacco rises up in these kind of games. their secondary are buns from what i've heard so that's good. BB usually has us ready to go coming off byes and literally all of our trips to postseasons, we've had the byes so we have good track record in that.

IMO i think the rematch with baltimore is gonna make us more sharp (hopefully) and given our history with them as well. they could've very well easily been 3-0 against us in the postseason if not for that drop in the endzone and that epic FG wide left

brady needs to have his A game and for some reason he never really had one against baltimore and for few good reasons. keep brady upright and we should be OK. im more nervous in the OL holding its own more than anything but then i look back at the season and we did decent against stout D-lines on few teams. i think blount's comment is spot on, if we don't beat ourselves, then we should be straight.

Actually was close to putting $100 on a Patriots/cowboys super bowl but I never do future bets so I decided not to :lol

Man **** the Ravens
laugh.gif

I had a feeling it would play out like this the min I saw the matchups. I feel more confident going into this one tho, we have Gronk this time around plus our D is night and day compared to then. That AFC championship was probably one of the most frustrating games in recent memory.

Being up and in control of the game until Talib went out, which led to our secondary getting lit up with the hurry up offense/3 receiver sets

Ridley literally getting killed on the field, knocking him out of the game and fumbling in the process

O-line will be put to the test by their front 7 to say the least. Pees is gonna be throwing all kind of overloads and weird packages at these dudes. The key is obviously gonna be keeping Brady upright long enough to work on their depleted secondary, but as we saw yesterday that's easier said than done. On the defensive side containing the run and not giving up points is the main thing. Bend-but-don't-break better be in full ******* effect

Special teams is gonna be really important as well, I see this being a tough/close game so field position will be crucial.

Edit:
Darrelle Revis in coverage:

Vs. Steve Smith: 2-10, 21 yards, 2 INTs, 0 TDs

Vs. Torrey Smith: 0-1

Vs. Joe Flacco: 0-5

Revis's stats against the Ravens :hat. I need to see Revis on Torrey Smith and Browner's physical *** against a physical *** reciever like Steve Smith, I'd pay too see that matchup :lol :smokin. He won't be sonning Browner like he sonned Talib that's for sure :lol

bruh...this would be awesome :hat

we'll need to give him some help though for sure in case stevie gets by him :lol

I think there lack of a strong running game is gonna haunt them... We need to send pressure at flaco constantly... I call T.smith getting strapped up by Revis Most of the game.... & also BB and his record after a bye week.... In Foxboro of all places has me thinking this team will be beyond ready.

It probably can't be stressed enough how huge having a healthy Gronk is going to be
pimp.gif
. The last 2 playoff losses to the Ravens he was either hurt or still at Arizona . I'm also expecting Tim Wright to be a possible X-factor.

Tom Brady's career playoff rating versus the Ravens (3 games): 56.8

:x

there's a lot to it. added pass rush pressure, lack of weapons, etc...but at the end of the day, he NEEDS to be better. he needs to be the fired up dude that came out versus Cincy after that Kansas City debacle. no more excuses, 12. time to get it done.
