Hey guys..so a cool thing just happened today and I wanna share it with you guys.

So my mom has Breast Cancer (already went through chemo and got her re-constructive surgery done so she is back to normal)

Anyway they have this contest for the Sunday game against Denver that people with BC are entered in to go on the field before the game and cut the pink ribbon while the players are all on the field, and there is also a lunch in and seats given to them as well.

So my aunt wrote this story about my mom, and she won the contest :lol :hat

So she wants me to go with her, and this Sunday she's and I will be on the field cutting the pink ribbon right before kickoff.

Gonna be a really cool time and I'm real happy to be apart of it!

Plus I get to see Manning live for the first time :hat ..

He was suspended for a year because he was in Stage 3 of the NFL's substance abuse program after the DWI and got caught with alcohol.

^ Read up all you Captain Save-a-Josh's.

"two beers and two drinks" during an early January private flight to Las Vegas with several teammates, which led to his suspension.

I know more than enough about his situation and plenty of other troubled youth dealing with addiction.

I'm in the process of opening up a small treatment/help center for those who battle addiction, it's something that I've been around all my life so miss me with the "captain _________" jokes.

He knew the repercussions when he was having those drinks. It's all laid out right there in that PDF that I found in 20 seconds of Google searching.

Whoa, nice

Take Franc 8o

As far as Gordon, addiction is real and a hard thing to get over. I hope he has/is getting treatment. But when you get in trouble multiple times the ice is so much thinner, you have to walk a straighter line. Much like anyone that gets in trouble with either the law or by their employer

Franc :lol

CBS wants a RKO done on the field I will invite him.

Again, when you don't have the right support system around you, it's not as easy to kick an addiction like people make it seem.
Which is definitely an argument for someone with those issues to NOT be playing in the NFL.

When you're around enablers like the majority of NFL players usually are, it's definitely an issue.

So because he's 23 and in the NFL, he can't have regular joe issues?

He needs to be an adult.  Which he clearly has shown he's incapable of doing at this time.  Whether its due to addiction or not, hes been given several chances to show he was responsible and has failed every time.

you are banned from alcohol and get on a plane to go to Vegas, what could go wrong?

decision making seems to be an issue here too

It's not as simple as you make it seem. Right now he's in the process of getting his life together, changing the crowd he's around, and getting the treatment he needs to battle his issues. In some cases, you have to hit rock bottom in order to climb your way back up to the top.

It's crazy how people look at these young and clearly misguided athletes and tell them to grow up, when it's clear they have issues. If it were as simple as "growing up" it would've been done. Sitting here and judging a guy for "just drinking and smoking weed" is easy when you're not the one with the issue.

But no one should be upset with an employer who has already given someone several chances to change for not "waiting til they hit rock bottom"...

These guys gets free rides to college for their talent.  If they cant handle being in the NFL, then maybe they just shouldn't be in the NFL.  Adjust to real life and figure it out.  But they should just get a bottomless bucket of re-do's.
