I hear you though,he`s had a consistent *** career and has been Romo`s best friend his whole career for a reason. He`s reliable as hell but he`s not in that upper echelon for TE`s imo. Like I said though,he`s a sure fire HoFer and definitely the best in franchise history.

Witten went of a 6 year run of averaging 93 catches per, how isn't he in the upper echelon of TEs? Not coming at you, just wondering why you think that.

the hell type of cleats does honey badger have on?

watch them turn black.

if I had a choice in their primes between Tony, Witten and Gates in their prime I am taking Tony then Gates but would hardly be upset with Witten

Can't really argue that but I rank Sharpe a little higher than Gates. I'd prob take Gonzalez then Witten. You really can't go wrong though.

Gates NEVER caught 90 passes as a TE, I can't take him over Witten.
He has 42 more TDs though

not counting gronk and jimmy and looking at TEs of most of our generation (CP not included)...i've got in order:

Gonzo
Gates
Sharpe
Witten

He`s had a great career for sure. I just have The Gonzalez`s,Sharpes,Winslow`s and Ditka`s in their own category and the rest just under. I have him ranked with Gates,Newsome etc which isn`t bad company imo.

The old school guys get some respect from me for putting up numbers before the leagues offensive explosion

Witten had the type of career that Dallas Clark could`ve had had he stayed healthy imo. They were both never really the first or second options on talented offenses but still consistently showed up and put in work.

this, atleast dallas clark got to 2 super bowls and got a ring, he had some huge plays in the playoffs the year we won it.

Gotcha.

[thread="629840"]I wonder how conflicted CP is going to feel this season watching Jimmy in Seattle catching TDs from Russy [/thread]

If I see jump ball after jump ball hauled in by Jimmy, while Wilson gets all the credit, I'll likely start fights in the streets with random people. :lol

For some reason I remember Dallas Clark being better than he actually was.

He was good but he also took a beating during his Indy years though, word to that Collie meme :lol. Saw so many dudes destroy him down the middle during his career :lol :x
