In a strange way his work with Indy is the least impressive to me :lol (shrug)

He helped start the trend of certain teams pushing for rule changes after getting their ***** kicked in January

I agree for reasons @Air Spider 777   has said before.  He only one won chip after lucking into Peyton Manning (i see you Ryan Grigson).  Then in the latter part of his time there he spent all his 1st round picks on offensive skills positions, lots of them busts...  Not how you build a team.

Also responsible for the NFL making it so damn hard to play defense in the secondary.

The Ty law rule is his trademark :| :{.

Dude owes his bust to Peyton :lol

Put me in the minority but I think VERY highly of polian, both in buffalo and Indy.

Dude was successful in both places, and was always amongst the top teams in the conference (the league really).. Could he have won more Super Bowls? Yea..is he a failure because he didn't? Imo no.

He was one of the best, if not the best at his job the majority of his career.

History will remember him favorably.

Which is odd he went that way since he was able to build Buff and Car so nicely

He had success before that

His Buffalo and Carolina years were HOF worthy? Dude whiffed on so many picks over the years but always got a pass for the few ones he got right. I also somewhat remember rumors of him wanting to trade Peyton around '04 :lol.

it seems nowadays people like to look at all time greats and say what they aren't and break them down ; Peyton, Favre, even bron and Kobe..

When in reality we should be celebrating the career they had and realizing that it's hard to be successful at the highest level. Everybody can't do it. That's why it's one Montana...why it's one mj..

Idk..maybe I'm giving TOO MUCH credit..just always bothers me when people downplayed greatness..and NT does it best.

Indicative of our society. Angry, cynical, sorta hostile. Nice post

that's the way it is with every generation, the generation before them is always better in their eyes because they grew up with them

in 20 years 15 year old kids now will look at Brady, Bron, etc as the GOAT

If Polian is a player he's not getting in with that record.

What is seau's career record? I bet his isn't that great. He barely played on the almost undefeated pats season, but other then that he had some playoff appearances. I would imagine his record is comparable to polian. I searched for a while to find seau's career record but couldn't find it.

Cowboys DE Greg Hardy teamed up with Dallas fans to have a banner that says "We still dem boyz!!! #sackscomin" flown over Eagles practice today (via Phil Sheridan).
