I wouldn't say Watt is the most dominate since Reggie. That's too far. Every year there's a dominate defensive player the world falls in love with. Watt is great but no

Watt's an action figure.  Not sure I've ever seen a player like him.

I'd love him on my team but I can't say I'd want to pay near-QB money to him...

Jesus Christ.

Your rambling.

Who the **** are you replacing Watt with if he's easily replaceable ?

Watt is the most dominate defensive player since Reggie White.

If we have a NFL redraft. The lowest watt goes is 3rd or 4th behind Luck and Rodgers.

You can't "easily replace" what he does.

When did I say he was "easily replaceable"?

JJ guaranteed 52M.

Michael Bennet 16

Cliff Avril 16

Khalil Mack 18

Chris Long 22

Lenord Williams 18

Cameron Hayword 15

Carlos Dunlap 12

Calais Campbell 17

Fletcher Cox 10

All extremely gifted DE's.

You don't need to tie up that kind of money on a DE.

He's not worth it.

Here’s the latest development in the saga, courtesy of Ryan Clark, the former Steelers safety who said on ESPN today that he trains in the offseason with IK Enemkpali, the linebacker who slugged Geno Smith:

Smith “refused” to pay Enemkpali the $600. If what Clark said happened actually happened, Smith has a lot of explaining to do:

It became about the fact that geno wasn’t necessarily apologetic and being in a way remorseful about the money when saying he was going to pay i.k. back. you know, he didn’t, and he was rather smug about it. so these guys got into it earlier in camp about this money.”

My report says geno put his finger in his face and told the guy, well, you’re not going to do anything about it.”

“This wasn’t the first time they had an issue over this same situation and nothing came from it the first time. you know, the first time they got into an argument, you know, words were said, disrespect thrown both ways, both guys separate and walk away. so when you have that situation happen one time, i’m sure a lot of people weren’t expecting it to get where it’s gone.”

To recap Ryan Clark’s comments: Geno Smith owed IK Enemkpali some money and apparently never paid him back. Nothing happened. This time (Tuesday), words were exchanged once, and the second time, Geno Smith put his finger in the man’s face and said, “well, you’re not going to do anything about it.”

The plot thickens? 8o

and when a lot of those players come off rookie deals, you think they are gonna re-up for their rookie deal money?

He didn't say they were...
excuse me, you're right. He said watt is replaceable. If watt left the texans and picked up one of those players he listed they wouldn't have the same impact as watt. So technically he's not really replaceable. Good thing the texans realize it too lol.

No one is going to be JJ Watt... Hes incredible.  IMO though hes not worth tying up QB money into because he doesn't necessarily translate to wins.

Player survey: Majority think Patriots deflated footballs but aren't 'cheaters'

ESPN's NFL Nation reporters and ESPN The Magazine contributors polled more than 100 players (not every player answered every question) and found a similarly sensible consensus. While 72 percent of respondents believe the Patriots were responsible for lowering air pressure of the footballs, only 16 percent said they were "upset" by it and 68 percent said they think other teams do the same thing. Sixty percent said the Patriots aren't "cheaters."

Quarterback Tom Brady's four-game suspension is too long, according to nearly 80 percent of the players. So it's no surprise that 88 percent said league discipline should not be determined solely by commissioner Roger Goodell.

looks like butt hurt fans can shove those **** right up their ***** :lol

That's not my argument

Yeah, he's much better then all of them, doesn't equate to W's.

My argument is he's not worth that much money.

And there lays my point.

Paying a DE that much makes no sense.

He out here makin Russel money on a 6-10 squad.

so they should have just let him walk after his rookie deal and find the next JJ Watt in the draft?

Texans were 9-7 not 6-10

To be fair there are always a finite number of even decent QB's. Even if they had money who are they going to get
I'm sorry but if you don't have a viable QB then your team is going to be trash regardless of whether or not you have Watt or not.

No QB, no party.

If you wanna have a really awesome guy on Defense to get fans excited about a .500 team, that's fine I guess...
