he didn't but some people want to discredit him

So if the game was close, would he have played?

If they had won, would he still be having surgery tomorrow?

maybe he would, maybe he wouldn't but I am not talking hypotheticals

he went down 2 or 3 times with that groin injury before shut him down when it was out of reach

Now it comes out that Burfict rammed his knee into Roethlisberger's shoulder.

But Steelers get away with everything, amirite?

Comes out where?

Phil Simms basically fell all over himself trying to call that an illegal hit when it was completely legal.  Did the same to try and justify the Shazier hit, which was illegal.

what Lebron does is irrelevant to what JJ does IMO

I understand the JJ slander because of his social media crap, etc. I think it's lame too but I don't think he "quit" on his team or faked a groin injury on Saturday

I agree re: Saturday but it's a funny narrative.  However it is true that he had no impact on the game before his injury—he actually got punked by Eric Fisher on the play when he got hurt.  Chiefs did a great job to shut him down.

Here ya go..http://deadspin.com/vontaze-burfict-is-so-dirty-1752214229

And blame the rules on Shaizer's hit. I'm pretty sure everybody knows it was a bad hit, but it's legal according to the rules. Don't blame the refs or the Steelers, blame the rulebook.

Raiders to Pursue San Antonio if the LA deal doesn't go through.

And the Spanos family doesn't trust that wal mart guy.

Again:

Why wasn't Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier  penalized for a hit that appeared to knock out Bengals running back Giovani Bernard?

In short, Shazier should have been.

With 1:43 remaining in the third quarter, Bernard made a two-yard catch and took enough steps to become a runner -- thus stripping his protection as a defenseless receiver. Shazier, however, then lowered his head and hit Bernard's helmet. Shazier could have done so legally under certain circumstances, but he made at least one and possibly two mistakes on this play that should have been penalized.

The first was a violation of NFL Rule 12, Section 2, Article 6(i), which defines unnecessary roughness as "using any part of a player's helmet or facemask to butt, spear or ram an opponent violently or unnecessarily." Given the force of Shazier's hit, it would be hard to argue against that definition.

Second, it's debatable whether Shazier could have been penalized for initiating contact with the crown of his helmet outside of the tackle box, a violation of Rule 12, Section 2, Article 8. The rule defines the tackle box as "an area extending from tackle to tackle and from three yards beyond the line of scrimmage to the offensive team's end line." Per the unofficial game statistics, Bernard was two yards beyond the line of scrimmage.

In either event, Bernard lost a fumble on the play. A call for either of these penalties would have returned the ball to the Bengals.

So if a guy chooses not to further injure himself in a game that's out of reach that's quitting now :{

Dudes groin has been hurt for 6 or 7 weeks...

I know his all-american boy persona is getting old but dude balls out every game. Plus it was obvious he was hurt.

13-0 in the 3rd quarter is a game that's out of reach now? NT logic at it's finest.

Couldn't do anything on Fisher all day and decided to pack it in for the season.

Adam Jones just said he KNOWS Antonio was faking after the play. That's a ****** up accusation unless it's true. That's foul by Antonio if he was acting. He looked concussed to me but I wasn't out there.

Wasn't the argument that Giovanni was already a runner at that point, and that's why the refs didn't throw the flag?

There's a clear contradiction in the rulebook when it comes to these hits and you know it.

That's what Phil Simms said.  However, Phil Simms was wrong and knows nothing.  His runner status isn't relevant to those violations.

You take JJ out of the game and their D goes to ****.

I knew they'd lose but didn't expect that bad of a performance.

Weird that people would bash Watt for Saturday's game. Why?

They had no chance with one of the worst QB performances in playoff history.

Do people expect him to get 3-4 sacks every game?

the Texans D was keeping them in that game, JJ got hurt and it opened up the gates

he was arguing with trainers and coaches to be put back in the game and they wouldn't clear him, I guess that is quitting

I guess JJ is supposed to make up for 5 turnovers by Hoyer

You're really just proving my point. Nobody knows what the rules are because of the ****** up rulebook. These are bang-bang plays, they're not gonna get every one right...

:{ If he can make his neck flop around like that on que Antonio deserves and oscar. Just when Pacman was getting his image cleaned up he keeps throwing this ish out.

You would think someone who NT says willed his team to 9 wins this year would've gave his team a little more than an assisted tackle in a playoff game, but hey. Learn something new every day.

They had a great gameplan for him, something other teams either haven't done or didn't do well beforehand. They threw multiple guys at him, let him get upfield while the play went the other way, multiple chip blocks to keep him from gaining momentum. The play where he got hurt though, he was getting past Fisher, and his knee buckled, then Fisher landed on top of him, and punching him the back of the head. That's actually a coward move to me that you seem to be taking pride in and referring to as "getting punked"

Bro..did you watch the game...Watt went out when the game was 20-0 and was still trying to come back in.

If he was gonna quit he coulda went out in the 1st half, the game was over at 7-0. The Texans NEVER threatened to make that a game.
