When you run the read option the QB is considered a running back even after the ball is pitched.
Yep that's what Suggs was referring to. In the read option, both the QB and RB are considered runners.

I don't like the play but he's right

There are multiple ways to run it.. What Bradford did on that play is the same thing peyton does..

If he kept it in that situation, it would have been with the intent to remain in the pocket and throw.. Essentially a more deliberate play action

What's done is done, dirty or not, its over. It's weird that we decide to run some read option plays with Bradford, in preseason, coming off 2 ACL surgeries. But you never know how he will play without calling up those plays. I'm just happy Bradford survived the hits, got up and completed the drive. I was sweating buckets when he went down, and was real slow to get up.

ODB gives no dambs

I see that he doesn't forget grudges

Butler,Jordan Richardson and that's about it :lol. Fletcher showed promise at times but he's not the answer :lol. D-Mac actually played corner during the game,that should say enough :lol :{

""When you run the read option, you have to know the rules. If you want to run the read option with your starting quarterback that’s had two knee surgeries, that’s on you. That’s not my responsibility to update you on the rule."” -Suggs

Why would Chip and them run the read option in the first place with an injury prone QB in the preseason :lol

Brandin Cooks is going to go the **** off this year.

he should have a good year, but don't base it off this game. we had a safety playing corner and a run stopping safety playing centerfield on his long TD. but yeah, the kid is ******* fast, man. nice weapon for brees

Trust me I wasn't basing it on that. I've loved the kid since college and from everything I've read he's done everything needed this offseason to set himself up for a monster year.

That's so ******* sad that Arrellius Benn broke his clavicle. This man has had a season ending injury every single year he's played in the NFL I think besides one year. Thought he could have been Boldin-lite coming out of college.

Giants will be below .500 this year, wonderful.

I agree with Suggs, don't run the read option if you scared to get hit. It was dirty though.

it was dirty is the point

hit him high, he clearly tried to injury Bradford, if that was Eli you wouldn't agree with Suggs

Yea that Suggs hit was definitely intentional...he can miss me with that read option excuse :lol :rolleyes

That Suggs hit wasn't dirty at all
Bradford flopping around like a freshly caught fish before the hit even started made it look way worse

hope thatwas only a flag because Suggs tackled below the knees.

Everything Suggs did on defending the read option was textbook tho.  His assignment is to hit the QB EVERYTIME they run a read option, whether he runs it or not.

Remember the years the Ravens won the Bowl?  That year the whole league couldnt stop Kap or RG3, everybody got shredded by the read option besided baltimore....Because every single play Suggs was destroying the QB.

It wasnt dirty because Suggs and the ravens have a history of doing exactly that.  Its called good defense IMO.
